my little boy will be three in may and is ready for preschool. I checked one out with him the other day and he was so excited about it and cried when we were leaving. i know he is ready. the problem is that the ones that i am finding are a 140.00 a week i am a single mom and i just cant afford that. i tried the school redness program but their are no funds right now. I was wondering if any one had an idea maybe one that is a little less expensive. at this point i dont care how far i have to drive. i just want him in a safe and structuerd invronment . thank you for your help

Robin's Nest in Palm Harbor. My daughter goes there and loves it. It is $175 a month and christian based. You did not specify if you were looking for something all day or not. That school is 9-12 and you have the option for doing "lunch bunch" which is 9-2.

I hear and feel your pain. Have you had an opportunity to talk to the school where you're currently sending your little boy? Explain the situation. Tell them that you and your child love the school, but financially it's a bit much. Ask them if there's anything that could possibly done, perhaps a scholarship. Sometimes schools, even preschools, have things like this. And something that I've learned, especially as a single mother is that it does not hurt to ask. The worse they can say is no. I know it can be somewhat embarrassing, but trust me - there are times when just asking is well worth the momentary embarrassment.
