I Need Free Wifi and an INDOOR Play Area

I don't know how many other working moms had a rough time the last 2 days, but these last 2 days have not been much fun for me and my 4 year old. I have tight work deadlines and he was BORED. I tried to find a McDonalds with free wifi, and I found one, but their play area was outside. Not good.

In preparation for the next Ice/Snow day, I would like to know where I can take my son where there is free wifi AND an indoor play area. Not a huge place like the Wiggles play area or anything like that... something small where I can realistically keep one eye on him and work at the same time.

I live in Carrollton, so it needs to be somewhere close. If school is closed due for bad weather, I don't want to be driving a great distance.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the suggestions. My son and I actually went over to a friend's house yesterday, which obviously worked out much better than either child being home by themselves (with parents). Thankfully, they have wireless, so we all had our work laptops in the dining room table while the 2 boys played. That's not an option in my house (too small of a house), which is why it would be nice to have a list of places we could go next time. Thanks again!

I'm pretty sure Willowbend Mall has wifi near the play area since the apple store is right there and you can get it at the Starbucks just down from there.

I agree with a playdate at your home. That is what I have always done.

MOST of the time, a parent is MORE than happy to drop off a child at my home on ice/snow day so they can go to work or whatever.

Yeah, I know it is practically "free" daycare for them but the added child to my daughter keeps the children busy so I can get things done.

At the same time, I am home, not dealing with being outside unless I want to. Kids are having a nice time...I am productive with my objectives for the day!

Just a thought.

I know that Going Bonkers has wifi, but it is a bit of a bigger play place. They have a special room set up that is above all the madness, with all glass walls so that you can see. It is hard to see the kids all the time, but for sure you could see him often, and check in on him as needed. It is in Lewisville right by the mall. One idea would be to allow him to bring a friend so that he is more likely to go and play without needing you constantly. Even having a friend over to your house makes such a huge difference..those are the days I can really get some cleaing done:) Good luck in your search!! ~A.~
