I stopped writing them down 2.5 years ago, when my daughter was 6 months. I decided it was silly to write things down I would most likely never get to.
I am hoping that when my son kids 2, I will get back into "my stuff."
Hey Mamapedia moms!
I nearly ran to my computer to type this message. I was just preparing chicken to bake and my creative thoughts were racing like crazy again! I'm an artsy type...I do calligraphy, violin, hand crafts, poetry, dance, singing, plays, etc. Sometimes the thoughts are so numerous, I can't keep up with them trying to write them all down. Anyhow what are YOU doing with your creativity gone wild in your mind?
M.
Ladies, thanks for all your responses!
What I realize is that I'd been spending a little too much time on Facebook, enjoying looking at the wonderful things everyone else has created. This of course, can stir up MORE creative ideas, but can also cause one to experience a temporary "damper" on creativity and lose track of time. I'd been bitten by the Facebook bug and got caught up in a virtual world! LOL! So... I'm working on creating a balance in my life and spending more time on organizing properly so I can have the time to do one of the things that I absolutely love - inspiring others through creating art with my hands and body!

My sister bakes and my other sister is an artist who makes jewelry. I sing every day and I'm working on writing a fantasy novel. I also used to play the clarinet and I like drawing in my spare time. I occasionally write poetry. I'm going to help my sister make a huge rocket out of cardboard and paint it for the kids' birthday party (one year there was a cardboard castle and last year there was a pirate ship). I'm also going to help decorate the church for VBS again (last year I painted the Sphinx and a sarcophagus since the theme was Egyptian; I was the group expert on Egypt and the story of Joseph). The choir I'm in has a concert on St. Patrick's Day. I've been called a Renaissance woman since I teach history, I'm a wiz in mythology, and I'm good with languages and science.
I'm like you, have tons of different crafty things going on at once. I have a little notepad I write things down in. Actually, I have two or three.
I do jewelry, refinish furniture, paint, facepaint, balloons, some sewing, interior design, blog, hairstylist, write, crafts...
I have my nail license, and I do manicures and pedicures for extra cash in my home and I also go to others homes. I also make cupcakes for birthday parties, weddings, whatever. Both of those things are like art projects to me. I love making people look beautiful and I love decorating, so I am considering going to a creative arts school for pastry/cake design.
I also love poetry, and like to think I am ok at it. I releases my stress when I write. I love how it feels like I am writing to someone and getting something off my chest. Although they probably will never see it, that's ok.
My mind goes at full speed at all times, so I have tried to use that energy well.
I am recently into my new Cricut machine. I love making things for my son and birthday cards for kids in the family.
Flight of ideas is a sign of schizophrenia- LOL.
Seriously, there was a time when doing it all seems possible and then the little humans came. Sometimes it is impossible not to include them. I do my own little thing (sewing, hair things, making invites (did one that mimicked a movie poster) but do include them in baking and crafting
Im doing one thing at a time!
waiting until kids are older and dreaming of future projects.
