Do you own a MamaRoo?

http://www.shop4moms.com/products/Refurbished-mamaRoo.html

I read about it somewhere and thought it sounded cool, so I saved the website... but I'd like to hear from anyone who has used one... I know these may not be widely distributed, so you may never have heard of it, but I'd thought it was work an ask... LOL

Is it worth the money? Is it any different/better than typical bouncer/soothers?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Just fyi... this isn't my first rodeo... lol I've been there, done the bought stuff I never used thing. I have certainly learned what things I did use vs. what I know I don't need. I do like to have a seat that I can place here and there, that the baby can be strapped into (other than his/her carseat) so if I need to take a bath, or something like that... I do want a seat like this of some sort. I doubt I'll pay this much, but just wondered if anyone tried it.

Also, I have a cousin with a one year old boy, and a two year old girl who has lots of things to hand down to us. So we are not adverse to using hand-me-downs. I just know the mistakes I made with my son, not buying what I wanted the first time, and getting something cheaper, that I ended up not liking for some reason... so I know what I want to spend money on, and what I won't. I do want to get a good sling, and I know there have been lots of opinions on this site about those, but I'll probably ask at some point anyhow! LOL But I can't use a sling to take a bath! LOL

You don't need most of the stuff out there. Start a college fund instead.

I never had heard of one. The only thing I could put my second one down in was his swing until he got big enough or his jumperoo. He hated the bouncer we never used it for him. He spent most of his time in a sling or ergo. I wouldn't spend that much on a baby item. I didn't even spen that much on our crib....good thing because we didn't use that either.

I dont think it would be worth your money. It only up to 25lbs...that is like 3 months for some babies, a bouncy seat is equivalent and much cheaper. i found i bought a LOT of stuff for my girls that they really didnt need.

you will do better with a wrap/sling, for when baby is older a door hanger bouncer (http://www.nextag.com/baby-door-bouncer/shop-html), and a second hand well cleaned exersaucer (http://www.evenflo.com/exersaucer.aspx)... Honestly buy as much as you can for the first year from second hand stores ... I got a $250 pack n play that was OBVIOUSLY gently used for $50! Plus a good swing (hardly used it though) for 25, and lots of other products that are not long lived. You may want to do a search on here for past posts on baby needs there are TONS. Make sure if that if you are paying more than 25-50 for most products it's useable for the first year or close to it!
