keep working at it!

Sometimes anesthesia affects memory skills. When my mom had a hysterectomy, she was still battling memory issues 4 months later. One day, everything just popped back into place.

Hope you heal quickly....prayers & Peace to you.

Get two journals. One should be a graditude journal that is for others to read. Every time you have a thought regarding love, thankfulness...etc toward someone you love write it down. Then when they come home, over, they can look in the journal to see your thoughts. Or you can look in the journal to remember your thought and tell them when they come home, over, etc.

The other journal is for you to remember what you feel, good or bad. It is not for others. It can be poems, prose, or just thoughts. It will help.

And take one day, or one hour at a time. You will get through this. With the help of all your loving ones one day at a time, you will get through it. When times are tough, read your graditude journal and remember all the good thoughts you have had.

Good thoughts. W.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am not sure how this could have caused a memory loss but all I can say is trust in the medical team working with you. I have heard that even people with years of memory loss do regain some if not all of their memories.

Tell them often. Perhaps write a letter to each talking about some of the specific things that they have done for you.

J.,
You know, some of the best advice I ever got was when my stepfather was dying. A friend urged me to have a conversation with him thanking him for all he had done for me, my mom, my son and expressing my love for him TO him.
I wish I had done it before he was sick.
Lots of times it feels so awkward to express those feeling while someone is alive and well...but it shouldn't! We need to tell those we love that we love and appreciate them every day! Just tell them!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've had 3 miscarriages and I know it's very hard. God bless you abundantly!

I am sorry for your loss. Maybe you are experiencing some depression or hormonal unbalance from the loss of your baby and that is resulting in your memory loss. Please visit with your physician and discuss some of these issues to get you back to being you! Good luck!
