Hi Andrea,
Melagel will heal it quickly and without scarring if it hasn't gone too far already. I've seen it heal a cut overnight!

my son is 2 and a half and he fell outside and has a big scratch on the right side of his face. i've been putting antibiotic twice a day. The thing is that we have a weeding in a week and a half and he will be the ring boy. I was wondering is someone knows how to treat the scar after the scratch heals. I've used mederma in the past but i don't think is very effective

If it's just a scratch and didn't require stitches or a butterfly bandage it probably won't leave a scar. If it's healed up by the wedding you could put a little concealer on it for the pictures.
It doesn't sound like it will leave a permanent scar, but you can put vitamin E oil on it or break open the capsules and smear some on. It does help with healing and scarring.
well you definitely do NOT want him in the sun. SPF on his face for sure!!!! the skin can discolor on that scar/scratch from sun exposure.
and that can be permanent.
put some vitamin e oil on it to make it dessapear i have a scar about 4 inches long i needed stitches in my left of my face and it make it less noticiable and almost dissapear
vitamin e cream and maybe c depending on your boy. c can burn. a multivitamin will help healing as well. I have great children's vitamins but you don't have time to order, so just try to get in him what you can!
SUNBLOCK - obviously since all kids need sunblock! But in his case, he will need it applied to the scar for a long time - and that includes the fall. As long as you can see any trace of the scar - you ned to put sunblick directly on it.
I was going to suggest both vitamin E and Melagel, but they have already been suggested!! Another thing I use regularly is lavender essential oils. Lavender has great healing properties for the skin and is not abrasive or intrusive. It won’t get rid of the scar but it will help it heal faster and help reduce the redness, puffiness and permanency of the scar (if that all makes sense!) I purchase my oils through Young Living, but you can find them at natural foods stores and co-ops.
