Hello everyone,
I wanted to make invitations for my daughters birthday party from our computer. Does anyone know of any websites where I can download a program to do this?(I'm searching google as I speak). Thank you in advance.

If you go to an office supply store, or a craft store, you can find kits that include the blank cards and envelopes. Usually, the company that makes the kits has a website you can go to and design your invitation, then print it from the website.

I recently made invites for my son's 1st birthday. I used powerpoint, and made a slide with 4 invites on it, then just made multiple copies of that slide, printed, and cut them apart. They were about the size of a postcard. Then I just bought colorful envelopes from the craft store to send them out in. I like this method, because it allows me to do whatever I want in terms of the design, layout, font, pictures, etc. I use google and look for pictures, them copy them into the slide and adjust the size as needed.

I also like the idea of using something like snapfish and using your daughters picture on the invite.

Try Evite, I think it's called? It's what we used for our daughter's Chuck E Cheese party, because it was built into the online reservation, but I think it's free to use regardless and they were cute invitations.

I have used evite many times, I like it. Those are just email invites though. For actual invites I use Snapfish a lot b/c I like that you can put a picture on it and then the guests that want to keep it can have a keepsake with a memory of your child at that age. They have a ton of variety and with the constant sales you can get them for a pretty good price. You can also pick them up a local Walgreens so you don't have to wait for the shipping.

Avery had templates for regular 8-1/2 x 11 paper, folded in half or folded twice. We used one of the templates and it was easy. They had text and pictures inserted, but I removed them all and added my own. If you can do the invites by email, Evite is a great resource as well. Good luck!

I have used smilebox.com and added pics of the kids on the invite as well as music. Then I emailed it to everyone.
