My question is silly but I wanted to know if anyone knew how I can really get the streak free look from glass. It bothers the hell out of me because I am a clean freak.
I use to have someone clean my house once a week, but since my husband has been laid off we had to cut back on spending…..:(
I have used every product you can think of including the ones that claim it’s streak free!
I use paper towels (bounty) should I be using cloth maybe?
So far vinegar and water seem to do the trick but it’s still streaky.

Thanks you!

What can I do next?

Have you tried cleaning it with soap and water, then use glass cleaner? I use the glass spray in the can (don't remember the name, but it works really good.

I use straight vinegar and paper towels. Works on all my glass like a charm!

Good luck

A., I had that same problem and it didn't bother me that bad I am not a clean clean freak just as long as my house is clean and smells good thats fine with me. But one day I was cleaning and my husband was home and I cleaned the glass with a paper towel and it streaked i really didn't care becasue i knew it was clean but it bothered the hell out of my husband and then he told me."Babe go get a clean dry cloth and do the glass again and see how it looks." And I would be damed a man knew something it really did look good and we USE THE DOLLAR STORE BRAND. try that and see how it works for ya.

We use Sprayway Glass Cleaner which is ammonia free and is truly streakless...the problem is the paper towels you are using. We use a very thin, paper-like paper towel to dry. You can try coffee filters if you have some on hand or I've heard that newspaper works fine too. We don't use vinegar because it's acidic and over time can ruin surfaces. It is super earth friendly though. Good luck.

I used to have the same problem. Use a microfiber cloth. Hope that helps!

Besides using the newspaper you can use a clean soft cloth, an old tee shirt or cloth diaper. If you do the windows do them on sunny day so that you can see what you have missed. Good luck to you. The other S.
