How to Get Rid of a Rash Mustache from Juice

My 4 year old was drinking from a container of juice (the small personal sized) and got some juice on her upper lip. Because she didn't wipe it off it's now a reddish purple rash. It doesn't itch or anything but looks funny. She starts school on Wednesday and I don't want the kids to make fun of her. Any remedies besides time?

Thanks

Aquaphor always makes mild rashes on my daughters face go away overnight. Try to gently rub it in before she goes to sleep.

My son gets a small rash from eating certain types of ranch dressing. His is always gone within a few hours. Just give it some time! :)

If it is a rash as in allergic reaction - Benadryl.

I've tried every cream known to man on various rashes. I agree with an earlier post that if it's an allergic reaction, Benadryl is called for - it does come in a cream. You can couple that with Cortizone to fade the redness. The trick is to keep her from licking or wiping it off.
Best wishes

FYI - rashes from ranch dressing and juice are allergic reactions, and most allergic reactions get worse over time... so it's worth it to find out exactly what is causing the reaction and avoid that product.

For the rash... if it really is a rash (rather than a hickey type thing or a stain), try cortisone or a homeopathic remedy like apis -- you can find that at a natural pharmacy or Whole Foods.

My daughter gets that & it's usually by accident right before picture day or before a familly gathering! She is allergic to the red food dye in most drinks. We have recently found it is the lemon/lime gatorade too. She is fine as long as she uses a straw though - as far as getting the rash to fade, we haven't found anything that fades it, as a matter a fact the more we try to get it to fade, the worse it gets. It actually gets darker as it clears up. I don't think anyone will notice by Wednesday, it should pretty much be gone by then. Best of luck to you and keep those straws handy!

Are you sure its a rash, or is it just stained from the color of the juice? I splashed red Jello on my tile counters and it stained it pink instantly. Ive dripped Kool Aid and it stain too. Guess you cant use Soft Scrub like I do on her lip tho...Maybe just wash her face with mild soap. It should go away if its just the food coloring stain. If it really is a rash, Im not sure other than Aloe vera, and dont let her drink that stuff again.
edit: is there a chance she sucked her upper lip into the opening of the bottle and its sorta made it swell up and red like a bruise, or hicky? Maybe thats whet she did. That will go away in a day or so if thats what happened.

Is it a rash or did she create suction on her lip with the bottle and cause a little "hicky" on her lip. My son did this and we were really confused about it the first time - wondering what he was allergic to- or what he did to get a bruise. The second time I saw him do it and I was able to figure out what happened. If it's in the shape of the bottle and looks like little small dots between the top of the bottle and and lip, I would bet that's what happened. It will take 3-4 days for it to be gone and it will just fade by it's self. Nothing to worry about, but make sure you explain to her not to suck her lip into the bottle when she drinks, or it will happen again. : )
