How to Fix Bad Hair Color

Hi moms,
I recently decided to significantly lighten my hair. I have always gone and had my hair done professionally but I decided to try and do it myself to save a little $. Anyway I had dark blonde/light brown hair and I decide to go to much lighter blonde. The problem is I wanted a sort of Heather Locklear blonde but it came out really golden or yellow in my book. I really don't like it, it brings out yellow undertones in my skin and is just not flattering plus it looks so fake! Anyway, my question is, if I go to a salon, can they fix it and just make it look at least more natural? Or do I have to just wait it out since I put on a dye with a high level of peroxide. I will definitley have it professionally done going forward and just pay the moola, so worth it! If any of you have experience with this let me know what is best. Thanks:)

What can I do next?

They can fix it!! I did the same thing one time except my hair is very dark and it was very orange when I was done with it. You can go dark alone, but never go light alone!!! I learned that lesson. Go to someone that you trust. If you live in my area (Montgomery) I could tell you of a couple of gals who can fix it!

they will recommend you wait at least 1 or 2 weeks before they "fix" it b/c doing it too close together can severely damage your hair. they will just use a lightener to lift the color out of your hair, then re-dye it whatever color you want. it will cost about double what you normally pay to have your hair just colored (in my experience). afterwards, make sure you have a good shampoo/conditioner just for damaged, colored hair. maybe buy one of those at home treatments to fix dry brittle hair as well. also, try not to use heat on your hair until it can regain it's natural moisture
