I can't help on the caulk but I use that bathroom cleaner that has bleach in it... and it cleaned the grout around my kiddo's toilet just fine... I let it sit on there for about 2 hours...then went back to clean it off...
Hi ladies... hopefully you can help me with this one. My 7 y/o has his own bathroom (technically it's for guests, too - but we don't have many of those). His 'aim' when using the bathroom is not the greatest, so he'll miss 9 times out of 10. I've started having him wipe up the mess and his aim has remarkably improved. But the problem I have now is that the caulk around the toilet and floorboards is stained (used to be white). Any suggestions on how to clean it to make it white again?
Thanks!!! I didn't have the specific cleaners mentioned, but it was clear that bleach was the answer. I had some soft scrub with bleach that I used to 'recaulk', then let it sit for an hour. Wiped it off and the stains were much better-- not completely gone, but better. I'll reapply and try again after a few days (after the bleach-headache goes away). Thanks Ladies for all your advice...

You can just get an empty spray bottle and pour some bleach in it. Spray onto whatever grout or caulk that needs cleaning. Yes it has fumes, just like all the other expensive cleaners, but it's cheap and you probably have a bottle of bleach at home.
I use the bleach spray on my tile master shower to get whatever stain or mildew that elbow grease and other cleaners cannot get out. I wait an hour or two and viola---it's almost like magic..all stains and mildew are gone. Like I mentioned before, make sure you have really good ventilation wherever you spray any harsh chemical product.
Goodluck,

My mother use to have me clean our grout with Clorox Clean up. Spray it pretty heavily on the grout and let it sit. Then srub it with an old tooth brush then rinse. You may have to repeat. Be careful because the fumes are VERY strong.
I think it's called Finnazzle and it works wonders on grout. I haven't had to use any for quite a while so I forget where I bought it.
That makes me look back. I was a hairdresser many years and had a customer that was a school teacher. They had to get an electrician to fix the bathroom light switch. Found out the 5 yr old boys were aiming as high as they could and the light switch was it. Not sure except bleah how to get the grout clean. They never seal the grout and I got all the stuff when I first moved in and never did it. Low an behold every thing with tomato sauce gets in the kitchen floor in front of the refer but bleach seems to work. G. W
Hi B.,
Try using the new clorox bleach pen. My sister in law used it on her grout in the shower and it looks great so give it a shot.

This is going to sound crazy - but - I had a similar problem in our guest bathroom and I think I bought 20 different brand cleaners and tried 10 different other remedies. Out of complete and shear desperation one day I bought 1 more product praying it would do the trick - and it did! It is the least expensive product I bought and it works like a charm! It is the Target brand mildew stain remover! It is super cheap and it WORKS! Good luck - I feel you pain - I have a husband and two boys which means YEARS of cleaning up after bad aim!
