How Much Would You Pay? - Columbus,OH

It has been a while since I have sold my sons jeans on craiglist. So, I guess I am trying to find the right price to sell them at. I have been watching craigslist the past couple of days to find out a price, but it seems most people are selling them in lots with shirts and stuff so I can't really figure out what price to sell the jeans for. I have Gap and Old Navy is gently used condition - no rips and no stains.

I was wanting $5 for the Old Navy and $6 or $7 for the Gap, but my friend said no way.. and she suggested to pay $3 for the ON and $4 for the Gap. (just a conversation between us...no disputing)

Please give honest answers on which prices seems more reasonable. We live in a decent size city.

Thanks!

Hello!

I use ebay for clothes instead of Craigslist. If you are doing a "lot" of the pants - then I, personally, would pay $15 for 4 to 6 pairs of USED pants - maybe more if they are GAP and Spotted Frog. Old Navy - I would probably sell for $3 each as I usually catch them on sale and get them for about $10....this is MY opinion and what I would pay for them.

If you post on ebay - yes you have listing and final value fees - but then you can find out what people are willing to pay for them! :)

Good luck!!

For used clothing from a mall I would say $2, 3 max for either. I can get brand new pants from ON for a child for $10, sometimes less. Personally I always donate my kids stuff to the children and families homeless shelter, you could get more as a tax credit than you could for the pants! (not sure how much it would be worth on your taxed though, I never claim mine or get a receipt, I just want to help, but it is my understanding that if you ask for a receipt when you donate than you can claim the value of the items on your taxes.)

I wouldn't pay over $5 for any of them, even Gap. I would just sell them in a bag for one price, or try Ebay.

I go to a lot of garage sales, thrift stores etc. and would only pay $2-4 at most for used jeans. You could get more for them on ebay but it is more trouble.

Yep. I would say $2 to $4. You would have a better chance of getting more on ebay but it's also more work. Good luck!

If you don't need money, I would try thredup.com. They send you priority mail boxes, you stuff them, and list them on the thred up site. It's very easy. You don't get $ for them, but you are allowed to order boxes from other moms on the site. You pay $5 + shipping (it runs $10.50 I think for the shipping) I have gotten rid of many clothes that were cluttering up the house and have received some really cute things for my girls. (They also have a box of toys category) I HATE having a yard sale and this is so much easier. I can do it at my own pace, it doesn't cost anything, unless i order a box, and its kind of fun. They have some other perks, but I'm not trying to advertise. I just heard about it recently and joined last month.
I've bought things on craigslist, but I bought a lot of 12m girls clothes for $75, but it was a 30 gallon bag stuffed full including shoes. Even if you do it on Ebay, I would do it as a lot. I wouldn't want to pay shipping on indiviual items if I needed/wanted more than one. Of course, I have twins and always need ' more than one'. :)

They are advertising "all" Old Navy jeans new for $10 in the stores. I wouldn't pay your prices, used stuff goes better at consignment stores.
