I went a leetle overboard this year. I told DH that I didn't get to do this for the sks (they are never here for Easter) and DD is my only so....yeah.
I bought DD a little basket for $4 because she likes to play with them and it was on sale, but it's stuffed to the gills. DH thinks it's too much.
At Michael's they had stuff on sale 40% off, so that's where I got the basket, a dozen eggs, the activity books ($1 each), a sun hat and gardening gloves and some stuff for SD. I also got her a little bunny at Rite Aid, and some candy. I got her a necklace from a friend's store, which was the pricest thing at $10. Then I found some fancy hair bows and a My Little Pony that I'd saved since after Christmas sale shopping. So that's about $30, not incl. the gifts and candy for SD or candy for DH... It adds up quickly and nothing except the necklace was more than $4.
My grandmother is always tsk tsking us about Easter and these days I only bring the Starburst Jellybeans to Easter dinner (which I eat to keep me awake since I was up at 6 for the sunrise service).
I don't do grass. I tell DD the EB knows we have stupid cats.
