I love the sleeping bag idea! :) I was going to suggest buying the feetie pajamas and putting socks and/or a tee-shirt on underneath. I had good luck finding larger size jammies with feet in them at Target.
Stay warm!

My 2 year-old daughter is a very restless sleeper, and now that it is getting much colder, she doesn't keep the blankets on her all night. She starts groaning in middle of the night, and when we check on her, she has no blankets on her. We cover her up/tuck her in and she is fine for another hour or two. She doesn't know yet how to pull them over her when she is cold at night, and now she is getting up earlier because of this. She is too big for traditional sleep sacks (which worked great in the past), so we're wondering if there is something similar to this for older kids? Or any other suggestions would be great! Thank you!

I had the same problem with my daughter. I bought the jammies that zip up the front with the feet in them and it worked great untill she started taking it off at night. I finally bought some without feet and cut off the feet on the ones I had and turned them around and zipped them up the back. This way I knew she at least had something on to keep warm at night.
Good Luck!
I know it sounds weird, but maybe try having her sleep in a sleeping bag, that's what one of my friends had to do when they were younger. It worked for years. :)
I know what you mean. I could go in and the blankets have all slid to the floor. The best thing we did was make sure our son was dressed warmly enough. I got the long underwear sets at wal-mart...typically it think they're in the boys section, but you can use them for girls too. and we also made sure to have him where socks in the winter. you can layer the long johns or put the on under their animated pj's. when he was in his toddler bed and the blanket was smaller than a big comforter, I took a piece of elastic and quick stitched it to each side (did one side, ran it under the bed, and stitched to other side) at least it kept it from totally falling off. Not under the mattress, that makes it kind of hard to pull up and down, but all the way around the toddler bed frame. I she's in a bigger bed that probably won't work as well. We also pulled the bed a little into the middle of the room away from and vents or windows when it got really cold.
