Ouch. This just happened to us last month, but we didn't have berber. I ended up snipping off the tips of the carpet fiber.
Ok so I spilled a bottle of red nail polish all over my white berber carpet! Any ideas on how to remove this? It will probably be dry by the time I get home from work!

Call a carpet cleaning company first and see if they can get it out. If not, do you have any leftover carpet? We had a burn from a iron on our berber carpet, and I just had a company come out and they had to cut out that piece of carpet and use a piece from the leftover carpet to patch. You cannot even tell where it was patched at. We used FiberKing.
nail polish remover, then bleach
It is unlikely you can get it out. BUT there is a solution. When we had a spill that could not be cleaned--carpet restorer told us to look in the closet or any place that has carpet the same as that on the floor (batch match). Cut out of that place a piece about 1-2 inches larger (each side) than the spot that needs to be replaced. Get someone who is handy with tools to cut out the stain and put the carpet replacement piece in (make sure that the weave direction matches). It was a great solution that was easy, cheap and worked.
Nail polish remover...make sure it has no color to it...ONLY DAB!!
One our dog chewed through a bottle of hot pink polish and it was all over the new carpet in our rental. We tried EVERYTHING! What finally worked was brake cleaner! Cheap fix.
