My son came to my bed during the middle of the night and got sick. It went through to the featherbed. It's too big for the washing machine...what do I do?

What can I do next?

I had kinda' the same problem a couple of years ago. The roof leaked onto my waterbed. It had a feather type pillow top on it. I had to search, however, I took it to a dry cleaner. It cost (if I remember correctly) 12? 14? bucks. I think the laundramat idea is great too. A dry cleaner would be a pricier but, you have to figure this is a one time deal.
Hope this helps!!

Hi E.,
I had a friend who worked at a dry cleaners. She said they would just wash them in a large washing machine and dry them with tennis balls, or those laundry balls.

Good luck!

Try the super sizes washing machines at the laudry mat. I went the other day. It cost about $4 in quarters. Don't forget to bring your soap, downy and dryer sheets. Take a magazine to read while it washes and dries.

Dear E.:
I would take it to a Laundromat where they have big machines and wash it on warm. Be prepared to run it through the dryer three times in a row, not too hot. Feathers take a while to dry, but the result is a fluffier-than-ever blanket that smells good.

Regards,
W.
