Check out the forum at workplacelikhome.com. It is a great place to learn legit ways to earn money at home, and they even post job leads and can tell you what to look for to see if it's a scam.

You do have to pay to join, it's 19.95 a month but you can have a free trial to see what it's about. I love this program, Amy, the owner, walks you through what you need to do step by step. You don't need any knowledge about blogging or websites to get started. Also, what is great about this program is that you know it works because it is something that she actually does herself. She started 2 years ago and now she makes $5,000 a month from her blogs. Lot's of other people also make a full time income following the steps in her program.

Also, check out KGB or ChaCha.com. Neither will give you a full time income, but it can help supplement your income. These are great because it requires no phone work and you can set your own schedule up.

If you have Facebook, check out http://cloudcrowd.com/i/65abd6 They offer tasks for you to do. I've heard it's very easy. I don't have any personal experience with it yet, but I am starting it today. But I have heard good things about it.

There is also Amazon Mturk. It's where you get paid to do simple tasks. It's a great way to earn extra money. If you like to look for products online or help other people find good deals on items, check out IMShopping, you can get money for answering peoples questions.

There are also at home call center jobs, such as West at Home and Live Ops.

I also wanted to add that you can sign up to test websites. Check out userlytics or usertesting. They both pay 10 dollars per test and take about 10 minutes to complete. I signed up with both, but have only done a test with Userlytics. It was very easy and they paid the next day.

They key to working at home is setting up a schedule, and making sure that you stick to it. there are a lot of things that you can do at home while you watch your daughter. Somethings you may have to do while she is sleeping at night or taking naps, but a lot of what I listed I do while I watch and play with my children.

I am a medical transcriptionist from home and love it, but you need to have mad typing skills and time and money to go to school (but just to let you know, I chose a school who let me do an interest-free payment plan, so money doesn't always have to be an issue). Anyway, this school has more than just medical transcription...you can do billing and coding, massage therapy, party planning, law careers...all things that you can possibly do from home! Check it out! At-Home Professions is the name of the school (and they have a sister school that does all the other career choices)...google them to look them up and give them a call and ask for a brochure from their school and their sister school...and then attend one of their seminars! Working from home is great!

Also, here is a website that has a good reputation of providing legitimate work from home job openings! Some things are state specific, but just peruse their postings occasionally. Look through the ones on this page and then hit the link that says to go back to the "job categories" and from the new page there will be a link that says "see today's job listings". This site also has lots of good info on how to avoid scams or how to know if it is a scam or not!

I enrolled in a online transcription school, hoping to be able to do medical transcription from home. In retrospect, I should have done more research on schools and whether transcription would be a good fit for me. I was a nurse before I had kids, so the medical part was a breeze. I considered myself a decent typist, but when it came to the actual typing part...I fell apart. I got bad anxiety and would end up sitting in the chair, crying.(obviously, my own issues...LOL!) Anyway, what I'm saying is to research the schools to find one that will legitimately help you find a job after you graduate. My school would do this, but for an additional $900!!! Other schools, I later learned, were known for helping their graduates find jobs for free. Arg. If you are a good typist, transcription would be a great option. There's also online typing help at learn2type.com - It puts you through typing excersizes to enhance your ability. If you aren't a good typist, the billing and coding option is probably a better route. I have a friend who does billing and she really likes it. It might be a good idea to research how many companies will hire at-home employees without requiring them to work on site for a year or two, first. I found many transcription jobs required that. I have to say that this is a great option. It teaches you skills you can use for years and years to come. I am NOT a good salesperson, plus, I live in a very rural community, so Avon, MaryKay, Pampered Chef, etc. were not something I was interested in at all. If you can invest a little money into the school, I think it would be a good way to make money for your family. Good luck!!

Working at home is a JOB and you must be able to prioritize your time.

I also suggest something part time outside the home. It gets you out for some "me" time although it is work, you meet people and socialize. That would be good for you....networking.

If you do find the perfect work at home job, keep in mind that you will have to spend a good amount of time on it. We run our consulting/brokering company from our home and we are actually looking at office space so we can walk away from it and not be working 24/7.

Other good options are to babysit for others. That would give your child social stimulation and a playmate!

Please be careful with anything work at home as even of it's not a scam you still need alone time without baby to do most of them. Medical transcrition is one that if you are contractted for a certain amount of output and don't get there ypou lose the contract they don't care that you have diapers to change, a baby just spit out her food on your keyboard. Other may come with a boss and an interview and want to know who your daycare provider will be. Many also require a special education therefore putting off the income. I don't want to put having a work at home job as not possible but what maybe obstacles to getting there. Instead try to figure out what you really want to do for a living and then if you need education for it and your barely scraping by utilize a pell grant, other grants and maybe even small loans to get through it. A lot of jr colleges have childcare programs who could wtach your child while your in class. You'd be done in 2 years and have something that you like that will increase earn potential and still have a lot of time with your baby. This will also make you able to support the family if ther was ever a need. Remember unless you are up for starting your own business, no one should tell you to give them money tp be hired.

Moms Helping Moms

If you haven't found the right work from home yet, let me know. I found mine a couple of months ago. I'm not making millions (yet!! haha), but its helping us save money and make money right now. I still have my full-time job and someday I may be working from home completely. But for now, this works!

I cannot suggest work at home jobs, would be interested myself, however I would suggest investigating the idea of babysitting, working at daycares or preschools when your daughter is a little bit bigger. You will be making an income can peak at your child and sometimes if not most of the time, there is a discount at an institution like that. Good luck!

I think lots of moms think that working at home is the ultimate solution. And it MAY be IF you are disciplined and can really keep yourself on track and on a schedule.
I just wanted to suggest thinking about a PT job somewhere, off hours from your boyfriend's where he can be home. OR if you have a grandparent or other trusted caregiver that could devote a set, scheduled time during the week so you can work outside the home maybe 2 days per week. After all, if you decide to do something like Avon, Home Interiors, etc, you will still need childcare when you are "working."
For me, I find it easier to work outside the home but on a limited basis....just a thought. Good luck!

How about in home daycare? Also, there are many sales types jobs like selling books. Start a business. Think about what you would like to do and do an at home version.
