D.H.
Well, I worked alongside a surgical dermatologist in South Bend, IN for two years until I decided to stay home and raise my family....but here's a couple of things. If you are African American, the scar may tend to become a keloid in which she can get Kelog injections to reduce the size of the scar. Lasers may help too with some scars. Vitamin E MAY work only on some people. Dr. always said what works for some may not work for others....and she was not a big fan of Mederma at all. I mean it is skin that has been cut in which new cells have to form, and they are not always the same the second time around, which makes it look the way it does. Hope you find something that works for her.
