*at a church or neutral location like a restaurant(some restaurants even have sections or rooms you can use if everyone orders something)
*one with food available that I don't have to cook or clean up
*same time and day of the month every month(except on major holidays)
*where all leaders spread out at the tables so no one feels excluded

It depends on the focus of the group! I currently have a group of friends and well work full time and have kiddos. Our husbands work together, so we always did "couple things". About a year ago one of the women invited us over for a Girls Night In party and it was so much fun that we now rotate who "hosts" and try to get together every-other-month. Nothing fancy... email invite, simple potluck dinner and then board games and chat.

It's great and so simple!

I would do it at your house. Get a bunch of fun foods, desserts, snacks, etc. and maybe some wine. I like being able to rotate houses and go to each person's place to have them cook or at least just set out a spread. It's nice to chat and have conversations.

A great friend of mine hosts a group at her home about 50-75 women attend this event. Everyone brings some small dish. There is usually a guest speaker and we talk, eat and pray together.

My church has a group that meets every second Friday of the month at the church. Dinner is served. Sometimes we have speakers or activities like massages, we discuss health, family, finances, and so much more. Always a great time.

I occassionally host a prayer breakfast. I keep the foods simple. The last one I had I did breakfast burritos. Everyone could make their own burrito. We ate while listening to music and we talked about many private things. We read scriptures and closed out with some powerful prayer.

My cousin is hosting a business promotion party. She is inviting some women friends of hers to come and promote their various businesses. So there will be a health and wellness guru there, a real estate agent, a jewelry dealer, an art dealer, a skin care product representative and an financial planner and insurance agent too. She is expecting about 30 or so women.

What ever you do, try to keep the atmosphere fun and friendly. Be attentive to your guests. Keep the conversation, drinks and food flowing and have fun yourself. Don't get too caught up that you forget to have fun.
