Hello,

Three of my friends are jointly throwing me a co-ed baby shower. This is my second child but I missed out on a baby shower with my first because of bed rest. I have no idea how to thank them - looking for gift ideas.

Thank you!

Scentsy wickless candles are a great gift. Everyone loves their home to smell good, and these are fire safe which is even better! www.scentsy.com/danacarey

I just hosted a bridal shower for a friend and she gave all the co-hosts a pretty decanter, that can also be used as a carafe or a vase. It's really nice looking and so functional! There were five co-hosts and we were all very excited about the gift.

I think handmade gifts go a long way, and I know of a great place to get them. This little handmade gift shop on Las Vegas Blvd. called Studio 8 Ten has all kinds of great handmade gifts and they are all really reasonable priced, and even better, made by adults with disabilities. One of my faves is their plantable cards that come with a matching painted flower pot and dirt. They run between $5.50 and $8.00 each and are adorable! The cards are made with handmade paper (that's made right at the studio...you can even watch them do it!) that has seeds in it and the recipient can tear it up, plant it in the pot, and it will grow! It's amazing. They also have very unique cards, photo albums, scrapbooks, journals, etc. Very worth checking out. I give their cards to my clients and vendors, and sometimes they love the card more then the work or check! Anyways...I am obviously very exciyed about this place and want to share it with everyone! They are at 810 South Las Vegas Blvd, 89101, open Monday-Friday I think until 6PM.

Congratulations!!! I have always thought something monogrammed is very personal way to say thank you and it's definitey a timeless gift; since they are throwing you a party I would give them either monogrammed cocktail napkins, dinner napkins or guest towels for the bathroom.

Warmest Wishes,

I gave my hosts magazine subscriptions & personalized gifts. I got one who was a cook, a subscription to Rachel Ray Magazine & an apron with her name on it (she was recently married so I had Mrs. So and So put on it). The other two I got tote bags with their names on them & filled it with stuff they liked along with a copy of the magazine I subscribed them to (one a scrapbooking mag w/scrapbooking materials and the other a gardening mag with seeds and tools).
Great inexpensive site for personalized gifts www.nnichols.com They are good quality & she Nicole is super nice.

Good luck and congratulations!

You could put together small gift baskets according to their personalities. For example, you could make one with coffee and a mug or a wine and cheese basket or candles and lotions. If you don't have the time or energy, you could always get them a gift certificate to a restaurant. They probably aren't expecting you to do anything, so whatever you do, they will appreciate it!

I was also touched to tears at what my co workers did for me for a baby shower. Gifts are fine, but I recommend a hand written letter. Something over and above a thank you note that really expresses what it meant to you. That will also mean the most to them.
