Hi everyone,

I was just told that I have very very low testosterone levels. I have all the syptoms that go along with low testosterone, mood swings, weight gain, fatigue etc. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so what did you do to boost your levels?

What can I do next?

Isn't this supposed to be estrogen? Testosterone is the male hormone. In that case I'd be glad THOSE levels were low.

I know exactly what your are going through because I was you once before. I was introduced to a Progesterone Cream that changed by life. This cream is applied to the thinest areas of your body twice a day for two weeks and then you stop for two weeks and start again. There are no side effects and it beats any type of drug on the market. Here is some information about the cream and the dr. who developed it: http://www.johnleemd.com/store/hbh-080321.html. If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Do you mean estrogen levels? Testosterone is the male hormone and while women have some it is always a very low level.

Talk to your doctor, I am now on thyroid medication for my hormon levels. I had similar problems and we tried several depression medications, but what worked for me was birth control pills. I had accidently doubled my pills for a week once and found that made a real differance with my health and moods. I talked to my doctor and argued with him and he agreed to try it. The six monthe I did I lost about 50 pounds and then the side affects started hitting me, so I had to go down to one at a time and I leveled out. I have a friend who has to take testosterone on a daily basis because the levels are too low. Talk to your doctor and go from there.

1st: make an appointment to see an Endocrinologist (blood specialist) they will do a complete run of all kinds of blood work on you and tell you that;
1. yes females and males have testosterone (males also have progesterone and estrogen, we all do)
2. how off your levels of said hormones are
3. suggest how to correct the balance
in the world we live in now there are all kinds of things we come in contact with that throw our endocrine systems for a loop.
I have been taking thyroid medicine for almost 3 years, I still can tell when my levels are off, see if the replacement will shut down your thyroid tho, ok

My friend has this, too. She always wondered why she felt so 'aggressive' at times, too in addition to what you added.

She is on a pill, I forget which one. I do know that there are many alternative therapies available if you want to check out the research on them before adding the extra chemicals to your system. (I'm not very "big" into medication if I do not have to go that route after what I have been through with my body. So I always seek the natural alternative.)

Good Luck and I hope you find something that works! :)

I also have low testosterone levels and my doctor wants me to use a hormone cream that I apply to my arms. I'm hesitant to use it because of the possible side effects (breakouts, darker hair on face...). I've been able to procrastinate because I'm still breastfeeding my daughter and it's not recommended for nursing moms. I dread using it, but I know I will need to. So I'm right there with ya!
