Do not go to the desert in July.
Has anyone attended the Hilton Timeshare sales pitch in Las Vegas? If so, which Hilton did you stay at? The Flamingo was my first choice but hubby was told they were booked up in the middle of July. Of course, I can book a room by going on line and I figured they must want people to look at the far end of the strip instead of one so conviently located. It's been years ago that I was in Las Vegas to see Barbara Streisand. Anyone have thoughts on this for a vacation?

Gees, have you ever been through one of those pitches..... it is HE$$. Nothing is worth ever doing that again. We made the mistake once and will never, ever do that again.
Waste of time, very pushy, hard sell.... you must be strong if you are not going to purchase one of these scams.
Find another way to vacation....
Hilton GVC has several inventories of rooms- some are for the people that already have ownership in the program, others are for promotional purposes (like your trip) and others are for rooms that they book for cash. That is why "they are booked, but have rooms available". With all the great hotel deals in Los Vegas, I would never consider using my Hilton GVC membership to stay there. (There promotional package is really good to try to get people out to look at the concept) We own at a resort property that we love to go to and it kind of forces us to put a vacation on the calendar, so we always go or trade our weeks for another location in the Hilton GVC system. Maintenance fees have gone up since we first purchased though and I think this happens with all time shares.
Hi K., you can get up and down the LV Strip by monorail. There is a stop right there are the Hilton. http://www.vegas.com/transportation/monorails.html
