Hi Ladies, This May Be a Question for Your Husband!

My husband is going to be graduating from Basic Training Feb 27th. I am wanting to get him a gift and I keep coming back to the idea of getting him a pocket knife. He loves knives that are good and durable with a clip for his pocket. Does anyone have an idea of where would be the best place to shop for these kind of knives? Lowes and Home Depot don't have what he likes. If you don't know, would you mind asking your husband if he does? Thank you!! Also, if your husband is a knife guy, what does he like and where did he get it? :o)

What can I do next?

you might try Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops. Wal-mart also has some good knives but the other stores have some better ones.

oh and the other post that mentioned a leatherman all in one tool. Definately a must have for military. My hubby is retired Army and he used these A LOT and if it got lost he was out buying another one.

You may want to try Diebels -- they are mostely known for their cigars, but I know they carry a lot of other stuff as well. Good luck!

I would check at Dick's sporting goods or even WalMart's sports/hunting section.

Cabelas is a good place for that. But, if you like to do things on-line, my husband has bought many, many things from
cheaperthandirt.com. He loves what they have - it's like army surplus, but on-line and the so far all that we have purchased has been high quality.
Good luck.

Hi S.,
First of all...congrats to your husband in graduating basic. I support everything they do for us!
My boyfriend got me an AWESOME pocket knife from the company Kershaw. The guy who makes them is named Ken Onion. These knives are very durable. I would highly recommend them. There are all types. From rough and rugged to pretty girly type. My boyfriend got me the Leek Rainbow. Sounds weird but the knife is an amazing color. There is a pic of it on the site. My boyfriend loves them and won't use anything else. I hope this helps. I could never find a knife I liked at a store. I've pasted the website on here for you.

Good Luck!

Hi S.!
Check out Nuts and Bolts at 95th and Nall. I saw quite a few of them there before Christmas. They were in a display case back towards the restrooms!

My Husband really likes Leathermans. They are multi tool. They have different ones that have different things on them. The last one I got for My Hubby came with a Leather pouch. My Husband said the wave is probably the best one.We have always been able to find them at Target for a good price. And I usually wait for them to go on sale. You can get them at Dicks,Cabella's,or bass pro as well.We have also got them as Christmas gifts for his Brother and Dad and they really liked them as well.Alot of the guys my Husband works with at the Fire Dept have them as well.Good Luck!I hope he likes whatever you decide on.

My husband and I are both in the military and I would suggest a Gerber or Leatherman multi-tool (Gerber preferred). They come in cases that loop on your belt and are invaluable. They come with a lot of different options and he's sure to love it. Congrats on starting the life of a family serving our country and good luck!

Well I would suggest OMB Police Supply. They have law enforcement, EMS, type equipment. They have a good supply of knives, and you can check them out at www.ombExpress.com for styles and prices. Their address is 11333 Strang Line Rd. Lenexa, Ks. Good luck!

Having a husband who was in the Army and now a son in the Marine Corps, a pocket knife sounds about right. You can go to Military gifts.com??? or go visit your local Army surplus store, they should have a good selection that may not be as costly. Good luck, God Bless, and THANK you to your husband for his military service!!!!!!!!! My husband says go on a site called USCalvary and order an Air Force Survival Knife, either a "working" one or one that can be engraved (name, rank, etc.) on the blade.
