Hi,
I have no ideas, honestly, I just wanted to commend you on doing a sleepover for eight boys in the first place! Right there, you're ahead of me by miles. You're a good mom and a brave one - no matter what you do to keep the tribe occupied, you'll go down in history as the "cool" mom -- in your son's book and in ours! Good luck and Godspeed, Intrepid Mother!
:-)

PS: Ok, I feel guilty. Here's the only tip I've carried with me from my own teen sleepover days. One mom was smart enough have a contest running for the duration of the visit. In our case, being girls, it was Miss Congeniality. But it could be Best Sport, Nicest Guy, Best Gentleman, whatever. The key was that she Showed us the prize Before we started - and it was cool. We all wanted it. Then at the end of the sleep-over, we all voted on who should win. It was great. It was the best-behaved sleepover I ever attended. Of course, I'm biased, 'cause guess who won Miss Congeniality...! lol Good luck!

We just move here from MI and my son's birthday is in late Jan. which mean we use to alway have birthday events inside. Last year for his 9th birthday we had a sleep over.

I had them make ice cream sandwichs out of big cookies that I made the nigh before, ice cream and different sprikles/nuts, while everyone was getting to the house. Once everyone got there they made their own individual pizza's that I cooked while they did a bowling competition.
We had a Wii system and borrow one of our friends so that we could have all 8 of them play at the same time. When that was over they were able to eat and then we opened presents. We than had their ice cream sandwitch with a small slice of cake. Yes, they were crazy so they made up some game that burned a lot of energy. By 11pm I put a movie in for them to start to calm down a bit.

Well I hope my story helps with some activity idea. All I say is good luck...

teach them kickboxing
scavenger hunt
treasure hunt
hot wheels and blocks to build tracks and jumps or you can use marbles too

if they are a real macho set of boys it might be fun to have tricycle races, and who can drink a bottle of root beer the fastest

Have a mad scientist theme. My son loved this. I just googled mad scientist party and found lots of stuff-making slime and volcanos, goop. I got white shirts from goodwill for lab coats and cut out foam black bow ties. I made a brain cake by baking cake in a stainless steel bowl, decorated with gray brainlike squiggles.

Or go the sports route and have lots of outside stuff to wear them out and hope they sleep well.

You are very brave!
