I gave birth to my amazing son (first one) via c-section August 28th. My first period started October 15th and ended the 20th. I started birth control that day as well. Taking junal because I wanted lowest dosage. I started getting really sick throwing up and figured it was birth control. Didn't take it yesterday or today and early this morning started having a horrible period again. Only 9 days after last. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

What can I do next?

If you don't take your pill like you are supposed to, you'll start your period in about 2-3 days from the last day you took your past pill. Like clockwork.
So yes it's normal in these circumstances. The only concern I would have is being off birth control. Are you using something else?
It doesn't seem likely that the BC was making you vomit. It's more likely a virus or something you ate.

It is normal to have some bleeding after stopping BC (that is why you bleed while taking your inactive pills if you take them each month even thought it is not an actual period since you don't ovulate). If the bleeding is extra heavy or you have any concern just call your doc.

Your body is all out of whack after having a baby. Your hormones are all over the place and your body doesn't quite know what to do with itself. There really is no "normal" for the first several months after childbirth. If you're nursing, it could be even longer.

Anyway, talk to your doctor. Find out if your reactions were a common side effect of the pill you're on and whether it's something that lasts awhile or goes away within a few days. It may help to take the pill at night and sleep through the nausea. In any case, the pill IS NOT EFFECTIVE if you don't take it at the same time every day, so make sure you're using another form of birth control if you don't want another baby yet.

Is there any way that you can use an alternative form of BC until your body's hormones are stabilized? It's so early to start taking hormones.

The other posters' points are right - you have to take the pill at the same time every day. Talk to the doctor about it.
