I have a 10 1/2 month old ACTIVE boy. He loves to crawl around stands assisted--- just plain active. Eats everything in the world.... still drinks his bottle of milk. However, his legs have started retaining water in his legs-- not his hands, face, arms... nothing. He drinks plenty of water and or pedialyte type stuff... however, i dont know if i should be concerned or not? I havent contacted his doctor/nurse... thanks for your help.

What can I do next?

I don't think it's anything serious but I would definitely take him to the doctor.

I would contact his doctor. This could be potentially serious, not to scare you, but it usually is serious when this happens in adults. Hope everything is okay.

How do you know it's water and not lymphedema? Check out this site... http://www.healthscout.com/ency/68/693/main.html. I'd definitely take him to the doctor asap.

Bobbie,

Probably not anything major, but best to take him to check it out. It could be a sign of other issues. Better safe than sorry. He could just be getting too much fluids...
