You can go to your city free health clinic. Also, if your fiance is working, and he has insurance , he may be able to add you on as a domestic partnor. I know of this, because My fiance added me on his insurance as a domestic partnor.
I'm currently around 7 weeks pregnant and I don't have insurance and I can't not get Medicaid because my fiancé makes to much money is there anything I can do or any where around Kansas city Missouri that will except affordable payments and what about when I have the baby I mean I can't afford 10000 dollars I need cheap payments can any one help???!

hi K.! first of all...congrats on the pregnancy! about the medicaid...i don't know for certain, but i've heard that if you aren't married that they only go by YOUR income. your fiance's income shouldn't matter. there are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people that don't get married and have kids, just so they can "work the system." i know you aren't one, but i'm just saying that the significant other's income doesn't matter. you are a single mom,(technically) and it should only be based on your income. i would definitely call again about that and just tell them that you are a single woman that's pregnant (according to paperwork, you are single). i really hope everything works out with you! i know there are some hospitals that will do payment plans. i saw truman medical talked about in one of your comments and i've heard they do...i have a friend that works for saint lukes and i'm pretty sure they do also. good luck to you!!!!
If you live on the Kansas side, try Johnson Co. Health Dept. I know for sure they have a payment plan for their OB patients.
Granted I don't know the law, but I'm not sure I understand why YOU don't qualify for Medicaid. YOU are not married YET and therefore your fiance's income shouldn't matter.
Anyone out there who knows for sure?

Hello! You are not married yet, do you have to put your fiance' income? You may try your income alone and call SRS. Second option is to go to Mercy and Truth in KC, KS. They charge $50 to $100 per Dr. visit once per month. It's the most affordable option besides medicaid. It costs $3000 to give birth at there location.
Keep in mind, they don't offer epidurals for delivery! Good luck
When we had our first we did not have insurance. It really was not expensive to pay for the baby at all. Call around to different hospitals and get a price for paying up front in cash. The sooner you pay the cheaper, ex: x amt of $$ if paid by the first trimester, a little more during 2nd trimester and more $$ during 3rd. The hospital we had ours @ was a little more expensive (like $800 more) than others, but it was closer to our home. Olathe med, was like $1500.00. We would have paid just that per month for insurance that covered pregnancies. Same w/ Dr.'s, they charge you a flat fee. I would call around to see which Dr. is the cheapest and find out which hospitals they deliver at and call the hospitals. Not that it matters anyways, since so often when it's time for baby to come, more than likely your Dr. isn't the one on call(that's what happened to me anyways).
Yes you're going to have to do w/o some luxuries for a while to pay for this, but I believe if you got yourself into this, than you need to get yourself out...it's not the govt's responsibility to pay for every pregnant womens delivery. I think you'll be surprised how much of a break they give you when you're paying cash. Also, start now taking prenatal vitamins and about 800 mg of folic acid to prevent birth defects. Good luck and congratulations!!
If you and your fiance reside together, DFS will count that as income. Truman Medical Center used to have a program that was income based. You might try St.Lukes hospital also, they used to offer an option for low income or uninsured patients. You might try asking a caseworker at DFS or calling your local WIC office and see if they might know of any resources for you.
I have heard, although I do not know for sure, that Shawnee Mission Medical Center has a program with a flat rate for mothers' without insurance. Call and ask. Also, many doctors will also do the same thing, call your doctor's office or call around and ask what they do when people don't have insurance.
You are not married so your fiance's income is not used as a deciding factor of benefits. Call the state welfare office and speak with someone directly. If that doesn't work, call the hospital and see what arrangements can be made.
It's true if you are not married they would only look at your income. I think the program is MC Plus that takes care of infants and pregnant women until a year after the baby is born (the baby is covered until mom can afford insurance). My daughter has used this four times, they will have you pay something if they decide you make enough. Look into it even if you don't think you qualify, you M. be surprised.
