Help Me Find a Dancing Dog????

Last year, my 3 YO said she wanted a dancing dog for Christmas. I couldn't find anything like a dog that danced, and she was getting plenty of other things, so I didn't worry about it much. But after Christmas she said she was disappointed that Santa didn't bring her a dancing dog toy. I told her I didn't think he could find one, and asked her to describe it more. I didn't get any useful info out of her. Well, this year, she says (already) that there are 4 things she wants for Christmas - and #1 is a dancing dog. Does anyone have any ideas about this? I have searched Amazon and the closest I can get is a dog that sits up and barks. Help! I can't believe she has been thinking about this for an entire year, and I think I really have to try to find her a dancing dog this year, whatever it is!!

What can I do next?

I am surprised with all the things those toys do now they don't have one that dances. Ask her to help Santa out and point one out for him.

Have her sit with you and look at pictures on the Toys r us website or another toy site. Tell her that Santa would like a picture with her list so he can get/make the correct toy. I still do this with my now 6yo so that I know exactly what she wants.

I would definatly show her some choices on line or does she just want a build a bear with a tu tu?? It might not actually have to dance just be dressed up in dance clothes.

Oh I hear you. My daughter would say the same thing! I do agree that first you need to clarify that she means a toy and not a real dog! :) I also think looking through toy catalogs is a good idea.

My first thought was one of those push button ones that sings and dances Christmas songs or some other catchy tune. You can find them at tons of places! Wal Mart, Walgreens, Target, Calendar Club (these usually open in the malls near the holidays and are pretty cool stores actually), etc.

Also, maybe she'd be interested in a Fur Real dog. They don't dance, but they do walk and bark and my daughter really likes hers.

Good luck, I know the stress of finding "The Present"!
