Help Me Color Coordinate...

Would an slightly off-white/ cream colored blazer go okay with a black or dark gray pencil skirt? Can I tie the 2 contrasting colors together? I would feel like I was going to a funeral, not my job, in black on black...

What do you think?

What can I do next?

I would wear the blazer with the black skirt and find a print blouse that has both colors in it or another color that would blend with the first two. I don't think you would look like you are going to a funeral.

How about just a dressy blouse and ditch the jacket?

I forgot about the tattoos. If the weather up there will allow then a nice sweater or long sleeve blouse will also work.

Black on black is very popular in the companies that I've worked for or visited in my work. Just add a little jewelry and a blouse in a color that complements your coloring and you would be fine.

I can picture the light blazer though, and it should also work well with a black or grey skirt. A print blouse with both colors, or a scarf with both colors, would tie them together.

If it is the interview I would pair the blazer with a black or blue skirt. If I am going into work all is well with the colors but I would not color block for an interview.

That sounds very discrete, classy and stylish. Not funeral like at all. I like it,

I'm the google addict. I would go to google images and type in the first line of this post- minus the words "Would an" and "go Ok" and see what comes up. You will get several variations of that to look through. You can see how they pulled it together and get inspration. It's like palying real life barbie doll.

Hi, R.:

I think if you had a black or navy shirt with your black or navy skirt and then wore your cream colored blazer would look nice or do the reverse.
Cream shirt and skirt with a black or navy blazer.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.
