We have met most of the doctors at Coastal Pediatric Associates (two locations in West Ashley and Mt Pleasant) and have been happy with all of them. Our daughter had RSV over Christmas and many colds following that which required a lot of doctor care. We generally see Dr. Caristi, but I really think all of them have been great! They were recommended to us by both my OB and family doctors.

I just starting going to Sweetgrass Ped. and they are great there. Very efficient and organized as well as a colorful atmosphere. Any of the doctors there are good. They have an office near the Trident Hospital and one in Summerville.

We go to Sweetgrass Pediatrics. The main office is in North Charleston, right down the road from Trident Hospital. They just built a new office in Summerville (Sangaree, I think?). They are wonderful. Good luck!

Just to make things more confusing, I go to Parkwood Pediatrics (West Ashley & Daniel Island). Specifically Dr. Goedecke. She is not taking any new patients, but if you can get with anyone there, I highly recommend it. Dr. Quinn is a newer Dr. to the practice (voted the most handsome Dr. in Charleston...LOLOLOL).

They are open 365 days a year and have walk in hours Monday thru Saturday from 8am - 9am. I also get same day appointments for sick visits. Low staff turnover. They just fired their managed care "Umbrella" and are private. Big difference. I am starting my 3rd baby there in January!

I have heard great things about all places mentioned. Oh, if you happen to be in Goose Creek, there is a new Dr. out there - Kate Herwig Harris. She is a personal friend of mine and was a student of my pediatrician.

Good luck!

Hi! I know how hard it is to find a good ped. Personally I love Coastal Peds. They get you in right away, treat you and your child and give you their undivided attention. Also they have 2 locations.
