Help I Need a OBGYN Fast

Dr. Troy NEw is amazing. He has a great bedside manner and will spend the time necessary to put you at ease. He is in the Professional Building at Baylor Grapevine.

I love mine, Dr. Patrick Allen. He has two offices, one at North Hills Hospital and one in Keller off Basswood. Also, my sister goes to Dr. Sneed. He has an office off North Tarrant and also works out of Dr. Allen's North Hills office once or twice a week. I know you've recieved many referrals here, and I wish the absolute best of luck to you whoever you choose to see.

Your hormones are clearly out of whack and the number one is likely your thyroid hormones - that will cause the loss of hair, issues with your cycle and the weight gain. Your body will continue to produce breastmilk for quite some time even after you wean - I had a friend that had milk for 7 mos after she stopped nursing.

The best GYN in the DFW area is Margaret Christensen: www.christensencenter.com She does have a backlog/waitlist (but the best docs always do), but I got in in 24 hours due to a cancellation, so I recommend you call today and talk to her nurse and try again first thing on MOnday in the morning around 10 am - I was able to get in the next day. That time of the day is when the nurse usually finishes her reminders for the upcoming appts and is usually trying to fill a cancellation. And, the receptionist is a nurse, so she will understand your issues - she isn't always as pleasant as she should be, based on how Dr. Christensen runs her office, but I think that's just her demeanor - she takes her job very seriously and is very conscientious.

Dr. Christensen was likely the top OB/GYN for at least 15 years. She had thyroid and adrenal issues herself (and other health issues). She closed her OB/GYN practice as she realized that conventional medicine had only taught her to either "cut it out or drug it up" when women had these problems. She changed her practice to GYN only after she solved her own health problems and trained as a functional medicine doctor. She treats the whole woman and NOT just specific organs - she jokes that she used to treat from the breasts to just above the knees only - that's how OB/GYNs are trained. Dr. Christensen uses only bioidentical hormones. She also has 4 children and breastfed them all, so she is a true expert on all these issues. I wouldn't go to anyone else for my GYN issues - she will spend at least 1 hour with you at your first appt - she spent 2 with me as my case was quite complex, as it sounds like yours may be.

I use Dr. Troy New in Grapevine. He has delivered all four of my babies. I love him. He is very personable and have never had him cancel on me. He will stay in the room and answer all questions without looking like he is leaving the room. I would see if he is on your insurance. Good Luck.

Dr. David B. McAlpine! He's my ob and he's located in fort worth at Baylor SW. He's amazing! He saved my life with an emergency surgery, and then helped us get pregnant when we were having issues, and then saved me from having to have a repeat c-section and let me have v-bac after the on-call doc. said no. Everything went smoothly and I would never switch docs now! Call him!

M. - It sounds like you've gotten lots of ideas! I see Dr. Gilda Cipriano in Bedford at Assoc. in OB/GYN and think she and her staff are great! I've also seen a couple of the others in her practice (including Chantal Spurdon) and they were also very good.

I wasnt happy with my gyn, so I just started using Dr Gagnon in the North TX Womens group. They have offices in Keller and Grapevine and I got in VERY quickly for a new patient. He's greatand really took time to listen and help.

a great dr is Dr Troy New at Baylor Grapevine Hospital. He dlivered both of my children and came highly reccommended. I have also reccommended him to 3 other people and they love him. After having children his patients stay on with him as an OBGYN. If you were willing to try Plano another excellent doctor is Dr Ewa niewarowski at Plano Presby hospital. I referred her to 5 people, they all love her. Because she is so attentive, proactive, and caring she actually saved my friends life.

My goodness!!! It sounds like you definitely are having some hormonal and possibly thyroidal problems. I don't know how specific you have been with the appointment taker at your doctor's office, but you need to tell them this is urgent. There is the Women's Integrated Health office in Grapevine- Dr. Kindrick or Pope or Lopez are very good. And they are taking new patients. But please let them know this is an urgent problem so you can get in... otherwise, also see your primary care physician!!!!

My OBGYN is really nice. Her name is Keryn Dias and she works at the Medical Clinic of North Texas in Arlington. She works in the Randol Mill office. If you can't get in to see her, there are about six other doctors that work in the same office. They seem to be really nice. Their phone number is ###-###-####.

Either Dr. Laura Bradford or Dr. Celeste Williams in Fort Worth. They are both FABULOUS!!! You shouldn't have to wait to get in, but you do need to tell details of what is going on so they will know how urgent it is.

I use Beverly Wood. She is in the tower across from HEB Harris Methodist. If you call and ask for the nurse, she will make sure you get in right away. The only time I have been canceled it was because of a delivery and they got me in the next week.

Barbara Buckley is Dr Neil's NP at Baylor Grapevine. She is better than any doctor I have ever had. She will figure out what is out of whack with your body and hormones.

Please call Fort Worth Woman's Clinic and make an appt with Dr. Suzanne Pritchett! It is in Harris SW off Bryant Irving in FW. Tell them that it is an emergency!

She delivered both of my boys and actually left family when she wasn't even on call to be there for me. She is very genuine and will listen!

There are several good ones in the area - Dr. Clark at Grapevine, Dr. Rodesia LaStrap at North Hills Hospital, Dr. Fred Cummings in Denton (worth the drive!). These are ones I would definitely use for myself or my daughters.

dr cornwell is very nice ..she is in arlington.....matlock obgyn in arlington....off mayfield and matlock...

Sounds like a thyroid issue, which your GP can probably address. However, if you want to see an OB/Gyn a friend referred me to Dr. Tim Rost at Baylor Grapevine and I went through an entire pregnancy/delivery with him. He and his staff are very friendly and caring and there's NO WAIT to see him (most OB/Gyns I've seen have LONG waits). His # is ###-###-####. Best of luck you you!

WHy must it be an OBGYN??? Have you thought about seeing an internal medicine Dr.?? It sounds like you could have something more systemic going on, not just gynecological in nature. You can't wait 2 months to get this examined. Best of luck to you.

I have a great OBGYN in Irving, right off 183 and Macarthur (I know it is a little far, but he helped me through several MAJOR issues) he is a little older, but he is straight to the point, listens to what you have to say, and doesn't just try to medicate issues away...
His name is George Theilen his number is ###-###-####. His staff is wonderful and have been with him for at least the last 9 years, which is about how long I have been going to him. He delivered 2 of my children and did my surgeries on my ovarian cyst issues.

Dr Jonathan Sneed was my OB for my youngest (I have two little girls) and I highly recommend him. I had a bad experience with my first OB and then Dr Sneed was suggested for my second pregnancy by a friend of mine, I won't go elsewhere though it is a little far to travel for me. He has an office in Keller and also works out of Dr Allen's office next to North Hills Hospital. ###-###-#### is his number. I will keep you in my prayers!

Dr. Timothy Rost is amazing. He never made me feel rushed or dumb for asking a qustion. His staff are great- low turnover. He is in Grapevine with Dr. Troy New.

I absolutely LOVE my ObGyn, Dr. Beverly Wood. I've been with her for about 13 years and she's delivered one of my two daughters, one of my nephews and all three of my nieces. My only concern is that she tends to be booked out far, so I don't know how quickly you can get it to see her. Please call her, as I truly believe you'll love her. I'm sorry to hear all that you have going on. Dr. Ezell Autrey of Dallas Medical City is great. I had a high risk pregnancy and was referred to him by another high risk mother. He is VERY patient and will make time to listen to your concerns. I don't think he overbooks his appts...I never have to wait long on my visits.

Dr. Coulter-Smith @ Bayler Grapevine is wonderful as is the rest of the group. Someone there is likely going to be able to get you in quickly considering your issues. I might even consider going to an Urgent Care to start if you have to wait much longer. You need to be seen.
