Help Finding Disco Party Supplies/ideas in Long Beach, Lakewood Area

I know its out of the area but I work at the party city in hawthorne off of oceangate and the 405 we have a small disco section that includes plates napkins lights decorations scene setters to put on the walls, beads and I'm pretty sure I have a few disco balls left for sale I just am not sure how much they are I get a 30% employee discount that I would be willing to share if you want to come in. party city is GREAT for stuff like that! also at Ross dress for less, they have lots of cheap lighting and i know i saw some at sale at target. but i would try thrift stores as well if you have any good ones in your area.

all else fails get a beach ball and cover it with foil, smoothly, then take some clear crystal gems you can get them at michaels, or joannes fabric and glue them on the ball, you can get a bag of about 100 -300 of them when the light hits the ball it should give off prisms, if you want to make it spins use elastic cord on it bought at joannes and wind it up before you hang it, it will unwind then wind over again.. at walmart I saw different color light bulbs, and at spencers gift in cerritos mail as lava lamps oooo so did walmart I seen them last night... white poster board paint some neon peace signs cut them out hang them from ceiling or some big flower power flowers.

I was a teacher and the ASB advisor, and had to throw all the dances. There are great magazines for proms and dancers, do an interet search on that and you'll find lots of great things for decent prices. Shin Digs is on mag, and another was prom...something, darn, I forgot the name of the mag.

No really, you can get a disco ball at Radio Shack or a place like that. They really set the mood for that Studio 54 silliness. Actually, sounds like fun.

And remember, you should be dancing, yeah!

Try calling party supply companies (rental companies). There are some in Orange county that do theme parties. Also, try some thirft shop for (Out of the Clothet, etc.) for lamps, etc.

I think I saw a disco ball at Lakewood Rent-all on Woodruff just south of Del Amo. We rented tables and chairs there last April, and they had all kinds of different things, and I'm almost sure I saw one there. Good luck and have fun,
