My son is left handed and started guitar lessons this summer - I bought him a "regular" guitar and it has not been problem.
I need to find a left handed guitar. I tried calling the music store in town but no one answers. Any ides? Ebay has some but $15 shipping and no returns.
I went to the music store and they said since it's for a beginner they can learn with a regular one because they are learning. The lady said she's left handed and plays a right handed and so do her left handed kids so I bought her one there. Hope she likes it!

I'm a lefty and so is my cousin. There are a couple of things you can do. One is check this link.

They have several ranging from pretty low prices up to very high end. You can set it to search by price from lowest to highest and then you won't have to look at the $500 ones! :)
The other thing that can be done is to take a regular guitar and string it upside-down. My cousin did that with his mandolin and just flipped it to play with his left hand. I'm sure someone at the music store could do this if you don't know how. (My dad does that kind of stuff for me!)
Good luck!

I just sold one on Craiglist recently...check there.
I've never heard of a left handed guitar. The people that I know that play, just use whatever hand they need, it is the same shape. Maybe just swap the cords?
Sorry don't know where to get one,the guitar strings are "upside down" on a left handed one.
Jimi Hendrix ,as a lefty, used to play a right handed guitar upside down.
I would recommend you keep searching for it though as a lefty myself I find it great when I can get left handed things instead of adapting to the right handed world.

Greenman Music in the Main Street Station - Viroqua, WI...Not too far away in case there is a problem, and they have great customer service and should be able to find whatever you need if they don't have it.
My son is left handed (not sure if it is left or right handed guitar - didn't know there was a difference...but if there is...my son is probably learning right handed even though he is a lefty), and we have bough an acoustic and electric guitar there for him. He also takes lessons, there. The staff is great!
I actually sell left-handed guitars -- seriously! My husband and I have a website, www.leftyzrevenge.com. Why don't you check it out and then email us @ ____@____.com. I bet we could help you find a left-handed guitar to fit your budget and your needs, whatever they may be. I play right-handed and my husband plays lefty and my 4 year old plays both! lol
