Hi Moms!
I was trying to be organized and I must have lost it!! Did any of you get the yellow flyer in the mail that was selling all kinds of nuts but mostly pecans? It came in the mail a couple of weeks ago. They were selling them in a special spot in Dallas (maybe off 35 somewhere??) Unfortunately, I can't remember. On the mailer, it listed a phone number, address and web site.....if you happen to still have it, can you forward any of the information to me and I'm sure I can track it down from there!
Thanks Moms! I know you'll come through for me!

What can I do next?

Dang, I looked at those websites and they are pround of their pecans. One site had them for $34 for 5 lbs. That doesn't include shipping and handeling. I get them out of state but last time got some they were $16 for 10 lbs. I am going back soon, maybe we need to bootleg some!..haha

Try Berdol Farms Web site. They sell pecans shelled, parially shelled, chocolate covered pecans, sugared, salted, every kind of pecan imaginable. They are located between Austin and Bastrop, down Hwy 71 if you want to check out their store. They have lots of cute gifts and food items.

I got it - I don't know where I put it, but I believe the place is called Texas Pecan Co and it's in the Royal Ln/Harry Hines area. You might find them online or in the phone book.

I did a little research - their website map is http://www.texaspecanco.com/map.aspx

Not exactly off Royal and Harry Hines, but in the general area of Denton Dr. & Royal off a street called Satsuma. The stuff there looked like all the stuff I saw in the mailer, so this looks like the place.

Hope this helps.

I see you've gotten the info you requested, but just wanted you to know that my Mom & I go to their store every year for all our pecans and other nuts. They are the best...the freshest. We get them mostly for all the holiday cooking/baking needs, but they are so good you can eat them straight out of the bag. Don't miss out! Many Blessings - L.

L.,
I know what you are talking about, and I threw mine out as well. If you're looking for a large bag of pecans, last year, I bought pecans at Sam's. They had huge bags at a great deal, and were actually very fresh and tasted great. I do a holiday recipe every year that is a spiced pecan mix. I am always on the lookout for great pecans around this time of year. I know that doesn't really answer your original question, but just thought I would offer an alternate idea if you were searching for pecans.
