HELP!! Can Anyone Suggest a Good General Practioner or Internal Medicine Dr?

I after many years of dealing with my current doctor have finally decided I REALLY need a new one. The current doctor we have fills prescriptions with seeing us (my husband has high blood pressure and he NEVER requires him to come in for a check up). He just renews the prescriptions. I feel like all he cares about is my $$. I would like someone who is easy to talk to and goes to IHC hospitals because of our insurance.

What can I do next?

I see that someone else has recommended Foothill Family Clinic. I go there, too because I really love our doctor. His name is Dr. Brunetti and he is at the south clinic. Fair warning - his personality is a bit odd and he has a very dry sense of humor - I actually find him very amusing, but he is an excellent doctor. I had several medical problems that stumped my previous doctor. I switched to Dr. Brunetti and he figured out immediately what was going on and got me the treatment I needed. I've only had a few other issues since, and he has treated each of them well & efficiently. I sent my husband to him and he has the same opinion. I also sent a friend whose son was having trouble that 2 other doctors were unable to address. Dr. Brunetti was the only one that was able to help him as well.

T. - I'm not sure where you live, but we live in South Salt Lake County. We see Dr. Mark Rada (Internal Medicine). He came highly recommended and I have been pleased, but have only been in a few times. I was really impressed also with the Nurse Practitioner who they have in their office - I saw her when I was expecting and had a sinus infection and she gave me some really good advice on how to deal with the infection naturally without medication. Good luck!

Try Foothill Family Clinic. They have 2 locations-one on Foothill Drive and the other just off of 6200 South and 3000 East. The have several good GP's and have other specialists on staff.

Try Evolutionary Healthcare. I just started going there this spring, and I loved it. It's a unique experience - the docter actually chatted with me, and spent time with me, etc. They have a website, which will give you the doctors names, and you can see if they are on your insurance - I see Carol Osborne, but I know there are men there too - if your DH would rather see a man (I know mine does).
