My fiance and I are having a quick little ceremony to get married and the big wedding is in June or July. Anyways, my mom had it set up for the hotel she is staying at but they called her today and said it couldnt happen. Its suppose to be on Tuesday!! When i say small, i mean like a total of 10 people, so all we need is a nice small area that is indoors due to the crappy weather! Does anyone have any ideas of somewhere that wont cost us money, or not a lot of money? Preferably in the Pierce County to Mason County area? Thank You!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks to you who answered! Everything worked out! We rented a room at the Varsity Grill and decorated it ourselves. After the small ceremony, they brought in a long table and we all had lunch together! It was very nice and the time of day meant hardly anyone else there so the privacy worked out great! Im married..YaY! lol

You might call the court house and see if you can get in to see a judge to get married. It is usually in the smallest court room and all your guests could go. Otherwise maybe you could just call the Parks and Recreation department of your city and see if they will let you get married at one of the City parks. By bringing a few chairs you can set up a small intimate area that is perhaps in a pavillion, gazebo, or some sort of makeshift area in a small clearing or surrounded by gardens.

If you decide to try outside then you can get arches and other decorations at stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You can also get those 10 foot square tents/canopies that fold up and can be carried to give shelter for that many people at Walmart for about $20. We bought one for BMX so that we can pop it up and have shade when we go to the track or travel to tracks that don't have shade.

If you go to Walmart go to Sporting Goods and find the chairs that fold up in a bag to be carried. The canopies should be in that area. My friend got hers there even though walmart.com said they were not sold in stores. They fold up and are carried around in a bag too and are lightweight. It's just an idea in case you end up being out doors.

Good luck on your marriage.

If it is just 10 people have it at your home or a friends home. That will be very cheap to have and more personal and romantic.

My husband and I got married in our courthouse, in Lakewood, and it cost us $50. Pretty cheap and the room was big enough for a lot of people.

I was just thinking if you knew of a river and had some lacey curtains and made an alter with that and maybe people could bring their own chairs. Then meet at a bar or sports pub for drinks ,shoot pool and celebrate. Then leave everyone there and go home and make whoopie! I have no idea,s on this one but thought I could give you some laughter? Good luck, all the best wishes for you and your hub to be.
