My Dr. told me to get a good humidifier.
I also find that if I drink a big glass of water - esp. when I first wake up - it seems to help.
I have been having lots of headaches lately. Usually they begin first thing in the morning. I think they are sinus headaches as I usually have a stuffy nose on the days that I have the headaches.
Ibuprofen does help, but I dont want to take that everyday.
Has anyone found any thing that helps sinus headaches??
Does anyone have a good ENT dr?/

Hello Lisa,
I have been having the same headaches that your talking about, and the only thing that seems to help me is the sudafed sever cold medicine and it takes the sinus pressure away and keep drinking lots of water.Try it you might feel a whole lot better. Good luck!!
My friend was having the same issue she started drinking a fruit juice called Monavie it helped her a lot. I guess you just drink this juice twice a day it is equal to eating all of the fruits you need for the day. I guess it helped with other aches and pains too. Good Luck:)
Hi there
Do you have a chiropractor? I used to get headaches that felt like sinus headaches and I went to my chiropractor one day while I was having one. He adjusted my neck and the headache and sinus pressure/stuffy feeling went away immediately. Your back or neck may be out of alignment which can affect all kinds of things you wouldn't think of.
My guy, Dr Kravis, is fantastic, he is based on 6 Mile between Beech Daly and Inkster. Our whole family use him, even my two little boys. He has a website: www.correctcarechiro.com
The phone number is ###-###-####. If you decide to visit him please tell him M. H recommended them to you.
Good luck with finding the answer, I know how horrible headaches can be. Have a happy new year.
Dr. Aronovitz in Warren is a great ENT doctor. As far as the headaches go, you have to find out what kind they really are first...there are sooo many different kinds. I suffer from so many it is ridiculous! Sinus from snoring, teeth grinding/clenching jaws, dehydration, allergies from something in your bed/room, neck strain/pressure from sleeping in a poor position, excessive eye movement during sleep, etc. Mine get so bad that I get migrains that last for days. My neurologist is still working on trying to figure out how to stop mine, but so far it looks like mine may be from a bulging C5 disk in the neck that needs to be surgically fixed by my spine surgeon.
For now, I highly suggest trying Sinutab Extra Strength (white and orange box), drink a full glass of water at bed time, and possibly get a humidifier in your room if you can. Also, drink a full glass of water first thing in the morning. Try that for a few days. If that doesn't work then try Claritin at night and the Sinutab in the morning, everything else the same(water and humidifier).
Good luck!
See a chiropractor! It will help. When I get adjusted my sinuses drain immediately. Instant relief!! I know many different chiropractors in the Detroit area. I don't know where you live so if you contact me I can probably help you find one in your area.

Just a couple of thoughts...you could be allergic to something in your bedding or even something you eat before you go to bed. I have also read that if you sleep with your covers over your head or in any way block the airflow around your head while sleeping, you can get a headache from lack of oxygen...sounds crazy but makes sense to me! Do be careful with that ibuprofen!
Sounds like allergies to me. I take an OTC allergy med similar to Claritin every morning - loratadine, then if I still get clogged up, on occasion I take pseuphredrine hydrachloride - 10 mg - which you have to sign for at the pharmacy. I used to need this a lot before I started the daily loratadine. I buy the loratadine cheaply 2 bottles in a pkg. at Sam's Club, but Kroger and other places have it in a bottle pretty cheaply too.
Massage therapy is helpful. It might take a few times of regular sessions to really reduce the recurrance... but the pain would definitely be relieved each time. then over time is when you'd see them go away possibly
let me know if you'd like a referral....
