So I am looking into doing the HCG diet. Have any of you ladies done it? How much have you lost? What kind of meals did you eat? When you have lost all the weight you want to, how do you go back to "normal" eating. What is "normal" eating after your done loosing weight? Did you gain any back? This weekend a friend and I are going to go get the drops and start it, just trying to get all info I can. Also, I know there are drops, pills, and injections. Are there any difference? Also is there any difference on where you buy them? Thanks for any info

What can I do next?

Im sorry, but this diet is ridiculous. I have lost more faster than all the people I know that are doing this diet and failing at it. I cringe when people want to know about it. Its not healthy, and its far from long term. Anything you lose, you will gain back.

Weight watchers is a great healthy diet.

It's a starvation diet. A fad. Nobody will recommend it except of course for the people selling the drops, because they're making a killing off of it. A friend of mine and her daughter were on it, and lost a lot of weight, but once they started eating normally they ballooned past what they were when they started. So now they're trying it again. Insane if you ask me. It limits you to 500 calories a day and you MUST NOT exercise while on it because your body can't handle that. Real healthy.

I did try the HCG several months ago and did quite well on the diet. I lost 40 pounds in 6 weeks, and my boyfriend lost 60. HOWEVER.... after, I gained back my 40 PLUS 25 and same with my boyfriend. I think it really screwed up my hormones cuz now I cant get this weight off AT ALL. I eat small bits and very healthy, exercize constantly and still cant lose this at all. I am bigger now then I ever have been in my life.

Unhealthy. Fad. All the weight comes back and then some. Their are all kinds of ways to lose weight, exercising and eating right are the ONLY ways to keep weight off. That has been scientifically proven.

It is a VERY unsafe "diet." (It's actually starvation.) If you had been trying to get all the info, you should have been reading that over and over.

Every person I have known to do this diet gains the weight back.
My mom: Lost 16 lbs in a month. Was lethargic the whole time, went to bed at 7 pm every night. Felt starving all the time. Gained the weight back the month after. Is now at her heaviest.
My mother in law: Has done HCG at least 10 times over the last few years. Claims she feels great and has no side effects. Loses about 16 pounds every time. Gains back all the weight immediately. I don't know why she keeps doing it. She looks good WHILE she is doing it, but she looks the same as she has for years and so it is not helping her to whittle down her weight or anything.
Sis in law: Tried it for 3 days. Almost passed out at work and immediately went off the diet.
My other SIL's mom and dad: Both lost a lot of weight. Both are back at original weight.
Good friend: Lost about 20 lbs. Is now back where she started.

I understand the desire to get fast results. In the end, though, it just seems like it would be a better idea to directly throw your money in the garbage.

By the way, the HGC diet is very extreme. 500 calories a day, many fruits and veggies are off limits. I believe you get a small portion of chicken or fish each day and then some fruits and veggies. What I would suggest instead is eliminating refined flours, sugars, and white foods like white rice and potatoes. My SIL has lost 16 lbs in the last 2 months doing just that. I lost 10 lbs in a month doing that. It is a lot more doable and costs a lot less :)

My friend did the injections and lost 5 inches from her stomach and 17 lbs in 3 wks. She is only in week 4. She ate no sugar and ate only 500 caleries per day while doing the injections. She said it was not hard to do since she did not have an appetite.

After doing some research on it, why would anyone put pregnant horse urine in their body? Everyone I know that have done this diet, are doing it again and again. Why not find a nutritional cleansing company that will permanently clean out toxins from every cell of the body? Thus releasing fat out of the body. It makes so much sense!

My mom did it. I think she ate a fruit for breakfast and then chicken with a vegetable or salad for lunch and dinner. She lost about 30 pounds I think and REALLY quickly. Once she got off, though, she gradually gained it all back. You definitely need an appetite suppressant while you are on it. The body knows that it is being starved!

Hi, Did the diet in June/July. Yes, it is a starvation diet. But, if you have willpower and can follow the diet as it is meant to be done which believe me is VERY difficult it does work. I have gained nothing back. But everyone I talk to that doesn't follow the protocol to come off the diet gains it all back. There are set rules that MUST be followed or it does not work. My sister and her husband have done it several times and no weight gain.
Bad parts...Yes you are hungry...I was even weak and faint. When I do this again I will do it in January when I am not trying to garden and do outside stuff. I lost 22 lbs and I don't want it back. Going back to "normal" eating is a misnomer. I eat what I want but I still watch it and I'm not stupid eating. You know what I mean. I would do it again but I will plan the time better..My sister has kids and I don't see how she does it withe kids as I was exhausted and had no energy. I would be happy to talk to you about it just send me a message. It is not that I don't recommend it just know what you are getting into. Be ready and understand that if you go off it you will gain it back if not done correctly. The diet is easy it is the way you come off that is hard. Do you have willpower?

If you really want to lose weight and keep it off then you absolutely have to commit to a lifestyle and diet change and not a fad diet that may or may not be safe. And that will cause you to gain all the weight back when you start eating like a normal human being has to in order to survive.

Brush up on healthy eating, look at the foods you buy and keep in the house and find an exercise program or style of exercise that you like and that your body responds to. I could walk till the cows come home and not get in shape but if I run my body responds to that and I start losing weight and getting in shape. Same thing with doing the Jillian Micheals work outs. They kick my butt but work great!

Can I recommend Weight Watchers? It is not a quick fix, it is a lifestyle change. It is doable, healthy and maintainable. I have struggled with weight my entire life. I have gone on and Weight Watchers many times. Fifteen months ago I decided to commit to a lifestyle change, not a diet. I have lost over 100 pounds and continued to maintain.

I saw a story about this on the show The Doctors. It was their opinion that it was not a very safe diet. Other than that I don't know very much about it. If you do decide to go through with the diet, I would research your supplier very extensively to make sure everything is safe for you. Good luck on your weight loss!
