Having a Hard Time Finding a Job

I've been under-employed for about a year and am now unemployed. I'm a social worker and have some retail experience. I can't seem to find anything that doesn't require late nights and weekends, and most don't pay enough for me to hire a nanny.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

You can make some good money in direct sales, Avon,lia/sophia,pampered chef, tastefully simple.....things like that. Avon is great because there are no "shows" and your daughter can ride around with you. I recommend choosing one that has a "consumable product", that way once you get some customers they will have repeat orders.
There are a ton of these out there, find a reputable one you like and go have fun with it .

Hi J.,have you considered network marketing? I know it may not be something you ever thought about doing but it could help you bring in some money until you find a job and then it becomes residual income. If you are computer savvy, I know of a system that is still in the beta stage that utilizes an interactive video to do the presentation of the product. The cool part is that system only requires the user to enter a name and email address and the system does the rest of the selling and business building. It even manages the follow-up and provides the training if needed. If you want more info I can send you a link.

Like Lisa G. recommended, being a consultant for companies like Lia Sophia/Pampered Chef/Mary Kay/Avon/Partylite/Body Shop/etc, you can choose your own hours and spend lots of time with your family. I'm going to start selling Lia Sophia jewelry in August and I'm looking forward to making my own hours, doing a few jewelry shows a month and making 30-40% of my sales. If you're interested in being an advisor for Lia Sophia, let me know and I'd be happy to give you more information! Here's my email: ____@____.com (if you're interested in Pampered Chef,Mary Kay or The Body Shop, let me know, I have some friends that are consultants)
