Which program did you use and what would you recommend them? I really wanted to rent Dustan Baby Language from the library but I can't find one. Do you know of a library where I can get it from? Thanks!

So What Happened?

I found the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD at the local library and I plan to pick it up this week. I found Dustan Baby Language online and bought it. Thanks ladies!

The hospital I delivered my first child at was a big supporter of Happiest Baby on the Block. We LOVED it!! My husband watched the DVD multiple times during my stay at the hospital and perfected his swaddling technique and jiggling. We also used his white noise CD with our oldest child...it was the only thing that would get her to sleep...we felt like we lived in a workshop (drill noise) or a rainstorm for months!! With my 2nd child we're still using a lot of what we learned and he's sleeping great...and definitely the happiest baby on our block! It's a great way to nurture your child and understand what their basic needs are the first few months! Let me know if you have any more questions...I'd love to help!

I don't know anything about the Happiest Baby on the Block, but the Dunstan Baby Language helped me immensely. After about 4 months old, the "language" your baby uses will start to drop off as they find more and more ways to show/tell you want they want or need. My daughter didn't make all of the sounds, but the two that were very helpful were I'm hungry and I have gas. I'd recommend buying the DVDs because I had to watch them 5-6 times both before and after the baby was here. I don't think it was that hard to grasp the concept, just that when you have had very little sleep, it is hard to recall the sounds! Good Luck!

I'm interested to see what kind of responses you get. Not to long ago I asked the same question. I really want to get the dunstan baby language. I found it on e-bay for cheap. I just have to buy it. I do recall a friend of mine saying she really liked the happiest baby on the block though.
