Has Anyone Tried the Genie Bra or Have a Recommendation for a Comfortable Bra?

Just wondering if anyone has tried the Genie Bra that they advertise on infomercials, it seems pretty comfortable but a lot of those items seem to be kind of scam-like. If not, any recommendations for a great comfortable bra? I've switched sizes a lot through pregnancies and breastfeeding and just want something comfortable.

What can I do next?

My mom ordered some Ahh bras, which are the same as the genies. Ahh bras are now available at walmart in the "as seen on tv" section. My mom likes them, but I think they are a little thin. It's like a thin sports bra, easier to get on, not as tight as regular sports bras.

You need to be properly fitted first so you can find the right one. Nordstrom's and Neiman's have good people for fittings as well as Dillards.

I am very small and petite, size 2 but I have 34DD natural perky boobs (thanks mom!)

I LOVE Wacoal bras. I currently have a racerback style and it is the most comfortable bra I've ever had. Wacoal is not cheap (around $60) but good quality, lasts a long time and worth the $$.

I've used the original version of that one, by Sassybax.
I'm a 36D, and I feel like the Genie - and other "sportsbra" concept bras - just totally flatten me out.

The idea is that it gets rid of back rolls that a regular bra produces.

I've swtiched over to the Incredible bra from Victoria's Secret. It seems that after years of totally ignoring average women with big boobs, they finally figured it out!
I LOVE THAT BRA. Same concept, smooth band around the rib cage, so no back rolls, and it works wonders for giving the girls a lift. It "auto adjusts".

Highly recommend it. And I'm a bra snob!

The most comfortable bras I've had in a while are the Bravado Allure. Yes they are nursing bras because I am nursing but I find them so comfortable that it highly tempting to keep wearing them long after my little one is done nursing. I don't know what it is but they fit so well and don't have all sorts of pinch points like so many bras I have owned, nursing and non-nursing. Maybe because they are made for a nursing mama they took the extra care to make them fit right. They are pretty like a Victoria's Secrets one. They give a nice supporting lift without hurting. I'm a 36DD/E and they do wonders for me! I would suggest getting a bra fitting first to make sure you are getting the right size. Victoria's Secret will do one and you're not obliged to buy from them. It's amazing how many women are wearing the wrong size. An ill sized bra vs one that fits makes all the world of difference in how comfortable it is.

I was a bra fitter for Penney's for 3.5 yrs. The Genie bra looks like a sports bra to me. It also looks like it squashes your boobs and gives you a bit of the uni-boob look. My best advice it to go into Penney's and request a bra fitting, if it's a weekend or really busy evening they may not be able to fit you right away. You can call and set an appointment. The thing with bras that most women doen't realize is that not all bras are created equal. It's the same with shoes, does every pair in your size fit you comfortably? No of course not. A good bra fitter will be able to tell you if you are a regular fit or full figure and which bra will fit you best. But it is still a system of trial and error until you find the one you like. Once you find the style that works best for you keep the hang tag that has the brand and style number and picture and that that tag with you everytime you shop. Please remember that for the most part store associates don't know the syle number of your bra there are simply too many to learn.

I love the Cacique cotton no wire bras. I can't stand underwire and these bras are great about giving that support without the wire. They are sold at the Lane Bryant stores.

I just bought some new nursing bras from www.lindasonline.com or google linda the bra lady. There are a ton of bras on that website both for nursing and not. I fell in love with this one

They are a bit expensive but well worth it for a good fitting and comfortable bra if you ask me.

i was just watching that infomercial last night. they did look tempting but I can't belive that the band wouldn't ride up. For small chested women it might not be an issue but i can't imagine wiggling my ampleness into that. But if i knew someone who was willing to do in with me, I think $10 each would make me try it. but i don't need to spend $60 and be stuck with 6 possibly sucky bras.

So to anwer your question, I haven't actually tried it, But am tempted, but it is probably not a miracle.

I haven't tried it. I usually get bra extenders that you clip on the back and get a cheap nursing bra that is comfortable from a maternity store.
