Has Anyone Else Had Morton's Nueroma (Pinched Nerve in Your Foot)?

I have Morton's Nueroma in my right foot and it's terribly painful. And of course it's my driving foot. I have been to a podiatrist and we did 2 weeks of cortisteroid meds and a pad on my foot. It didn't get any better. Then he gave me the cortisteroid shot in my foot and he said it can take up to 2 weeks for it to fully work. Well, I'm just past week one and I haven't noticed any really improvement. Some days are better than others. Has anyone else had this problem?

Update: I am not a high heal wearer. I bought new shoes and boots and both are wide enough for my toes. It doesn't seem like it's getting better at all, although some days are better than others. It's my driving foot which doesn't help, and I live in Wisconsin and "no shoes" is only an option inside-and I do do that too! Thanks for your responses.

What can I do next?

wide footwear, no narrow or slip on shoes, no heels.
sneakers, crocs or walking shoes.
your podiatrist or physio can try ultrasound treatment, sometimes if the nerve bundle is very large, it has to be removed, but usually footwear changes will help - are you a high heel wearer?

My girlfriend had that... stop wearing shoes, it helped IMMEDIATELY. If you have to wear shoes (as opposed to flip flops) try finding wider styles, nothing with any kind of heel. Continue what your podiatrist told you, but definately try changing your footwear. I hope it helps and you feel better soon!!

I've never had it in my foot, but I always joke that pinched nerves are a thing that I "do". Tons in my neck and back.

Have you gone to a chiropractor? They adjust more than just backs and necks! Mine works on my feet and ankles every visit. It may be that a quick massage and adjustment will do the trick.

I have it as well as an old co-worker. Her's was so bad she'd have to stop in middle of walking to rip her shoes off and we live in NYC, so yuck. She got surgery and never regretted it. Mine isn't as extreme, but I find the cortizone shots do nothing for me. I have to take my shoes off and let it pass. If you don't like what your dr is offering you switch docs.
