Ok Moms! I have read some of the other things on here about car seat recommendations, but can't finds what I am looking for. I have a trailblazer with no third seat. Currently, I have a Britax marathon and roundabout in the back. My third is due in July, and we cannot afford a new car right now. I need to get a booster for my 4 year old. She is 33 pounds and 39 inches. I want to keep her in a harness, as it is safer and she is lighter. Also, it has to be narrow to fit with the other seats. (We have seats in both cars, so when baby comes we will have both roundabouts in my car, as they are smaller than the marathon)Any thoughts on a booster that has a harness then converts to a highback/backless booster later? I was looking at the Graco cargo, but many have said it is not good for a seatbelt b/c of the closed loop. We already have 4 car seats, so I don't want to buy too many more, but it is cheaper than a new car! Thanks for your help!

As long as your car has the LATCH system, you may want to check out the SafeGuard Go seat. We have it, and it works great! See it at: http://www.safeguardseat.com/go/index.htm

You should look at the Graco Nautilus, we have it for our 4 year old and love it. Good luck!

I have the Graco Nautilus. I can't remember the weight limits for harness and then strap seatbelts but it does convert to high back and then backless booster. It is good up to 100 lbs. You can usually get a better deal checking online at Walmart.com and have it shipped free to the store (cheaper that actually purchasing from the store), or Amazon.com. And it is not as wide as some of the seats out there. I have a Dodge Caravan and 2 of my kids can also fit on the bench with the seat in the middle.

I can't recommend a seat but check out a Seat Snug. I never knew about them until my company started selling them. The Seat Snug is a child stability device. I have twins and their boosters never seemed to fit right in my truck. Go to http://www.seatsnug.com/ and watch the clip.

Good luck in your search.

I would look at a Graco Nautilus (if it fits) as it can convert to a backed booster and then a backless. If fitting something in there is a issue though I'd look at the Radian 65 from Sunshine Kids. It doesn't convert, but you can keep them harnessed to 65 lbs and it is a thinner/narrower seat.

I wouldn't put a child that young/light in a reg booster, but I just got one for my 5 year old/45 lb boy for our 2nd car that is a Graco Turbobooster. I don't know if you heard about all the controversy a year or so ago, but alot of the boosters don't position the seat belt properly. This is one that does, and it is very affordable/comfy as a high back booster and also converts to a backless.

Good luck!
