Just wondering what you think of hardcover photo books? Where do you get them from, are you happy with them? I've been thinking about doing this rather than scrapbooking, since it takes less time (and I'm not so creative!). Any tips... Also, do you order any photo products or notecards online? What site do you like? There are so many sites out there, just wanted to see what you mama's liked best! Thanks!

M.,

Hi! I, too, am not so good with scrapbooking. I used Shutterfly to make a hardcover photobook, and I love it! People I've shown it to also like it as well. I think you can also use Snapfish to create one. It was very simple to do. I uploaded pictures to the site, and the rest is pretty self-explanatory.

Have fun!

Hi M.,
I use artscow.com and have been extremely happy. I've made 4 hardcover photo books (8"x8", 20 pgs) each under $10 INCLUDING SHIPPING! They have tons of other products that I intend to order when i find the time. Promotions are offered all the time (like free shipping!), like the most recent offers are these:

"Get a 8"x8" photo book, 100 pages, at $24.99/each, with free shipping."
"Hot selling Photo Playing Cards $4.99/each with FREE SHIPPING!"
"$14.99/each for Mini Photo Fleece Blanket (35" x 27")
with free shipping."

(I've been wanting to get the playing cards and use them like wallet size photos for family. You can remove the numbers when you design them. That's 52 pics to give out!)

They give out credits for everything and there's a forum where you can trade credits with other customers if you're looking for a specific type of credit/product to buy. Also they have this forum where you can showcase your finished products and see how others have created their books and other items.

Check them out! I love Artscow!

I agree w/the pp. I love Shutterfly. It's easy to use and the books come out great. I usually order my christmas cards from them and have done notepads as a gift. Once you sign up you get tons of special offers throughout the year.

I have made several books on Shutterfly. I prefer the designs and options available on Shutterfly over Snapfish. I get tons of special offers from them for discounts on photo books, free prints, free shipping. I like to make a photo book and then wait for a free shipping offer to come along.

You could also check out www.blurb.com. I'm using this site to create a book of my blog posts to have as a family keepsake. This is my first project, but I have two friends who have used them to make books and they turned out professional, bookstore quality. You just have to download their free Booksmart program which has tons of page layout templates, then upload your photos and start arranging. It's been a fun project to work on!

I really like Snapfish, I am a huge scrapbooker but just don't have enough time to keep up with all the pictures. So whenever there is a large event with a ton of pictures I create a photobook online. I've been very pleased with Snapfish I've done many books with them and we give them away as gifts. I also love their flip books and mini books for grandparents they are great for little brag books I do one up every 2 months for the grandparents and then give them access so they can order them.
