I am more than sure that this has been asked before. I can swear I asked once but I cannot find it.

What do you use to clean your real hardwood floors? I want a good clean without the damage.

What can I do next?

"Bona" products.
It is environmentally friendly and is made for wood floors.
I have it.
I love it.
I get it from our local Home Depot store.
Or you can look up their website.

I like the Bona products. They used to mostly be sold at Bed Bath and Beyond, but I think you can even get it Target now. There is one version for real wood and another for laminate, so make sure you get the right one.

It depends upon what they are finished with. Mine are finished with a polyurethane coating and are fine with most products. My SIL's floors are waxed and she can only use a limited selection of products.

Vinegar and water is great. Sometimes I use the Method non-toxic wood cleaner. I will only use non-toxic cleaners in my house.

Vacuum dirt and dust bunnies every couple weeks. Wipe with a damp rag about once or twice a year. Just water, no product. I use an old towel that's about as wet as it comes out of the spin cycle in the washer. I find the best way to wipe is on hands and knees but pushing the damp towel around with a sponge mop works, too.
