L.A.
Our hours in St Charles are from 3-7pm.
We're new in town. I've searced and searched on the web, and I have not found anything conclusive. I am trick-or-treating in Naperville with my 3 kids. I've heard that trick or treating starts as early as 3 p.m., that it starts at 3 p.m. downtown and then 5 p.m. in neighborhoods, or that there are no rules, but they recommend stopping at 8. Can anyone tell me what to expect? When should my house be ready, and when and where should we go?
Many thanks in advance

My sister lives in Naperville and said trick or treating is from 4-8.
We were at the trick or treat at Safety Town in Naperville on Saturday.
They said that Naperville has no official hours, but young children should be home by dark and older children by eight.

P.S. Trick or treat at Safety Town was great! I highly recommend it for those with preschool/young elementary children.
I don't believe there are any "set" hours. We've lived here for 6 years. Typically we get younger kids around 4:30 and older kids until 8. I think because it's on a Sat people might tend to start a bit later. The best thing would be to ask your neighbors.
Check www.hauntedillinois.com or Napervilles website for official trick or treating hours and other events going on in your town.
Call your village hall.
Welcome to Naperville. We live on a cul de sac in unicorporated south Naperville. We usually have fewer than 15 trick/treaters but they do start early. Maybe so they can go to a bigger neighborhood later. It is busiest about 6 and done by 8. Since it is a Saturday night this year, it might go later.
