My MIL asked me the other day if I knew what my daughter was going to be for Halloween this year and you know...I haven't even thought about it. So I thought I would ask you ladies what your kiddos are going to be this year? Have you even thought about it yet??

They have the most adorable raggedy anne costume at party city and many pther adorable ones...my baby girl was a rag doll last year and she wasnt quite 2 yet. It had the hat with the tarn hair attached that was braided into pigtails. It came with a sweet babydoll/rag doll gress and white and red stockings...I drew little freckles on her face to add a cute touch. Everyone and I mean Everyone had a fit over her and thought she was sooooooo cute and she really was and its a very unique costume as well. good luck...

Leanne,

My son is going to be spiderman for his third halloween and my daughter is going to be a ladybug fo her first halloween. The past 2 years my son was a lion and then a monkey. My Mom makes the costumes for them. The ladybug costume is sooooo cute. I am so excited and cant wait to see it on her. It is one of those costumes that is real puffy like. I cant wait to have her pics done in it. My son is totally into spiderman now and that is what he chose to be this year.

My 4 yr old wants to be a princess (no surprise there!). My 2 yr old son is a firefighter (Gymbo I bought new off of ebay) and my 7 mo. old daughter is a dalmation (no-sew costume made from sweats and felt). I'm making a fire engine cover out of a box to go over the wagon so they can both ride. You might want to check out familyfun.com and http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com/ for some cute ideas.

Well, I am about to have my 4th child, 3rd girl, so I am thinking about having the girls dress up as cheerleaders (Florida State in our house) and their brother as a football player. However, I may save that for next year as my son will only be 18 months old, and the baby will be 3 months, so it might be cuter then. I will say that I have always found some great costumes at Cracker Barrel, they are a little pricey, but so cute, and they have been used often. Some of our past ones include a lady bug dress, a princess, Raggedy Ann, a sparkly witch, and of course one year we had cinderella. Good luck, it can be fun to play dress up if they are willing! ~A.~

I can't remember how it came up, but my husband and I were talking with our daughter about that just a few days ago. I'm hoping she's a sparkly witch again like last year so she can just use the same costume. She's real good about being the same thing for a couple of years because we've always gotten her some real nice costumes that are good quality and last, but she didn't give me a definite yes so I'm not sure about this year. My 2 1/2 year old went as her side-kick black cat last Halloween, but that costume will definitely be too small for him this year. He loves anything to do with baseball so my husband wants him to go as a baseball player, but I see visions of us chasing a baseball down the street or getting whacked with a plastic bat every 5 seconds if we go with that costume. :-) I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

My 3 year old picked the costumes this year! I am pregnant with twins...1 boy and 1 girl...and they will be about a month old for Halloween. My 3 year old is going to be a dog and he wants his new sister to be a kitty and his new brother to be a puppy!

I ordered my daughter's costume yesterday from Lillian Vernon. She saw the catalog they sent with Power Rangers on the front (she's told me several times, "I'm not a princess, I'm a Power Ranger), and she insisted on being the pink Power Ranger.
I looked online and found a Wiggles t-shirt for my son. He's going to be Anthony.

At one, my daughter was a butterfly (we got some soft, plush wings made for kids much older so they'd be big, and she still plays with them).
At two, she was Dorothy the Dinosaur. We ordered her costume from The Wiggles' website.
Last year, my daughter was a cheerleader. Her costume had her name across the front. My son (it was his first Halloween) was a football player with a "uniform" that matched my daughter's cheerleader costume.

Don't know about this year but last year he went as a "little stinker" skunk! I made the costume myself (and I'm not that great a sewing) it was super easy. Just some black sweatpants, a black hoodie, and some white fur from the fabric store. It was adorable! Good luck & let us know what you decide!

You know first year my son born it was really cold so costume went to waste he was like 4 weeks old. Last year I went at like 2 days before Halloween day to Marshalls and bought him 2 costumes to change into. I paid like 75 percent off the the regular price, and since he was so young everything looked great. he was a horse and a classic pumpkin. i am just gonna wait until that week, two reasons. First I have no idea what i want them to be, and two with this crazy texas weather you don't know how cold or hot it will be.

We always bought costumes at Lillian Vernon. They are good quality and still in my storage boxes for my daughter's kids someday, LOL.

At 2 my daughter went as a ladybug, it was an adorable outfit. We also got princess outfits, a dinosaur 1 yr, and witch.

Have fun. My daughter is 12 now. Time flies.

I've had this year's costumes planned since last Halloween when we found out we were having a girl. So this year, my son will be 3, my baby daughter will be nearing 8 months and they are going as Pebbles & Bam Bam from the Flinstones! I'm making their costumes, super easy and not much sewing involved at all.

Well you have many ideas already but whats 1 more.

I have a girl and Boy 4 and 5 and we try and go with a theme. I figured I only have a few yrs to dress they cute for Halloween. We did zip up Tigger when my son was litle, and baby Cinderella. We did Peterpan and Tinkerbell 2. Last year we did Princess Jasmine and Aladdin. This year my daughter got into riding horses so think we are going with a Pink Cowgirl w/pink hat and pink boots and Cowboy Sherriff. We have thought about Mickey and Minnie and Ragedy Ann and Andy.

When my daughter was 18 months, she was Raggedy Ann...too cute!! Then when she was 2 1/2, she was a little American Indian, with moccassins, piggy tails, and all. She'll be 3 1/2 this year, so I'll let her help figure out her custume this year. It may be a Tech cheerleader outfit and a red cowboy hat, since we already have that on hand and I wouldn't have to buy anything. Have fun!

I thought about dressing my 3 1/2 yo daughter and 10 month old son as Dora and Boots =). She has Dora's coloring, save for her hair is curly and he is little and round and could wear her old red boots from two winters ago, they would be big on him like Boots'.

I am so glad you asked this question. I feel like the only one in the world that starts thinking about this question in August. What I usually do is sell last year's costume on Ebay in August to pay for this year's costume. My daughter is 5 this year. Last year she was Little Red Riding Hood and this year we just got a Raggedy Ann one. It would be super if we could form some sort of group to exchange costumes each year.
