My daughter turns 3 on Nov. 3rd. We have decided to celebrate it on Halloween (over lunch time...11-1pm), so we will be combining the birthday/Halloween theme. I'd like to keep the decorations/games/food very "kid-friendly" b/c most of the kids are ages 2-5. I'd love some suggestions for games and food...the easier, the better b/c I will be 8-months pregnant when we celebrate. I'd love to stick to finger foods if possible. I think my sister will do face painting. Please send me any ideas, website links, etc. Thank you for the help...everyone seems to be so creative on this site.

What can I do next?

J.,

I am a Crew Member for Noah's Ark Animal Workshop and would be happy to do a workshop for you. All of the children (and adults, too) can pick out a stuffable animal and hand-stuff their new friend, name it, and take it home! The kids really enjoy making their new cuddly friend with their very own hands!

Please, check out my website at: www.EverAfterParties.com and click on Noah's Ark Animal Workshop for more information and rates. You may also contact me through Mamasource or through my site for more information, as well. The workshop lasts approximately 1 hour, and I meet you at your party location.

Hi J.,

I too am a Halloween time baby and growing up my favorite thing my mother did (per my request every year) was she'd take yarn (orange for the holiday) and tie each of the kids goodie bags to the ends and then tape all the yarn strings all over the room in criss-cross patterns to create a big spiderweb. Each child grabbed the end of a string and had to gather it up finding their way to their goodie bag. I hope that makes sense, it's super easy and cheap!

Good luck!

We are having a halloween party for infant-4 year olds and what we are doing is setting up a bounce house (or maybe a ball pit) and different stations like painting a pumpkin, foam stickers (micheals has alot of halloween/fall ones), coloring, decorating cookies etc....That way they kids can move from one station to another and it all can be done pretty much by themselves or with the help of the parents. Hope this helps and you have a great party!

Hi Sara - just a couple of ideas. I'm sure others will have lots more to add. My little one's birthday is on Nov. 1st and we went with the same idea last year. We did cupcakes with orange frosting and green stems (mini pumpkins) instead of cake and I also made up a batch of chocolate chip pumpkin bread which was a big hit. One thing we did as favors is I brought miniature pumpkins to the party and each kiddo got to pick out a pumpkin and I wrote their name on it. Have fun and try not to stress too much!
