Hairbrush Recommendation for Toddler

My daughter (3.5) has long fine hair. I've cut the ends off and use spray conditioner, but have found the only brush that works (with much effort) is a baby brush w/ nylon bristles. I would like to find another brush that won't pull... any suggestions of any you have/like?

What can I do next?

I am a licensed hairstylist with a four year old with very long curly and tangley hair. The trick is to only brush her hair when it is dry. What I do with Emma is: during her bath I use detangler and I use a big wide tooth comb and comb the conditioner in, starting at the ends and working my way up. I usually put Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum (however any silicone serum will do) in her hair while it's still wet and put it in braids for the night. In the morning I use a paddle brush, starting at the ends and working up the hair and it's very easy to brush. The Super Skinny Serum costs a bit much but it lasts for a really long time because you only use a dime size. You can also use a very small amount on dry hair to help de-tangle it. If you have any more questions I'm happy to help.

I have the same hair (as well as two of my daughters) Keep with the nylon bristles- they have them for grown-ups too. I started using them in highschool and it's really the olny thing that works. Brush her hair out BEFORE getting it wet- it makes it far easier to brush out afterwards.

No more tangles shampoo's are really helpful too- I use the johnson and johnsons one for curly hair on my toddler (she doesn't have curly hair, it just seems to work better) It really seems to help a lot without weighing it down like conditioner does.

I personally MUST condition my hair if so much as get it wet- but have found I only need to wash it a few times a week- I pull it up and keep it dry the rest of the time.

For my 2 girls I use a kids brush that has regular bristles as a normal brush , they are just a little softer. Both my kids girls have quite fine hair and I have no problems with this one. I bought it in CVS , it was with the kids hair accesories such as bands/clips etc.

I'll be checking back because I have the same problem. I use a wide toothed comb first, and then get any other tangles out with the baby comb. My daughter doesn't complain this way, plus her hair looks nice. After all the tangles are out, I wet it down to air dry since she has curly hair and it looks better not frizzy from combing.

I use a super soft brush I found at Walgreens. It's so soft that it really functions mostly to find the tangles, and then I work the tangles out with my fingers. It's not fun but it has gotten easier. I just keep the long hair in braids as much as I can to minimize tangles.

I'm the one below who said I got a super soft brush from Walgreens. I'm looking at it now and it says "Conair 100% boar" so it must be boar bristles - I think it was on a 2 for 1 sale when I got it so it wasn't expensive. Hope that helps!
