I work at a great salon..Blueberry Moon Salon and Spa. Its located in Lincoln Park between Armitage and Dickens. We are departmentalized so you will get one person for color and another for cut/style. I would recommend Jeff or Ashton for color. All the stylist are great(including myself haha)

I see Sonia at Sine Qua Non at Roscoe/Paulina/Lincoln. I have really dark brown hair and get highlights but only once every 4-6 months--mostly because I'm cheap! I insist they grow out flawlessly and have yet to be diasppointed with her. She's personable, sweet and detail oriented. She does a great job and isn't afraid to try things that are a bit radical if you're feeling adventurous... Highly, highly recommend her. AND, if you do go to see her, you'll have to book about a month out cuz I'm not the only person who's pretty loyal.

Planet Hair in Evanston is the best-###-###-####. Nancy is the best at absolutely every aspect of hair care. I've been going to her now for 15 years...

I have gone to Kim at Pixie Salon in Bucktown (near the expressway) for over 10 years. I have followed her from 3 salons. She is great and very experienced. Her prices are very reasonable.

David at Sine Qua Non on Lincoln Ave. (just south of Diversey) in Lincoln Park. He has got great instincts and is amazingly talented. The salon's number is ###-###-####.

I go to Chicago Avenue Salon located at Chicago Avenue and Damen.
I LOVE IT.
Great atmosphere and more importantly, great (and helpful) stylists.
The owner is a new mom herself so she gets the whole "me-time" that women need/want AND I have never walked out of there disappointed.

You sound like me. Ive tried every salon in town..I found a place that seemed a bit too edgy ( punky ) for me . Its The Black hearts hair house in Chicago. All the stylists wear edgy modern cuts and are creative with color. My stylist is Ann and she is crossed trained with color as most of them are. They are average in price about $45+ for cuts ,color varies on what you want. Im happy with Ann and my 11 yr old likes her too. I was tired of the same old hair cut and styles.
